had a great stay. I'm over on Islay every 6 months and have done this for the past 12 years and this has to be the best accommodation I've stayed in. I've stayed in the Machrie, harbour inn and various other airbnb. but this property is head and shoulders above the rest.

We were delighted with everything about Ardnave cottage! The location in port Charlotte was perfect for the local amenities (beach, hotels and spar), the house itself was cosy and comfortable with lots of nice touches including a well equipped kitchen and super comfortable beds. We had great weather and loved being able to hang out washing out on the clothes line in the garden!! We would love to stay at Ardnave cottage again and would recommend this to anyone visiting Islay!

Exceptional stay . This is the place to rest. If you have no vehicle bring all you need eg food. Stuart was so very kind. Told us some stories from the area, picked us up and brought us back to the ferry. Made sure we were comfortable. Everything was perfect. Thank you so much.

Although my stay was for work, it's made more palatable with great accomodation. Comfortable, quiet, warm, clean, well equipped & a great location to tour Islay. Comfy bed & well equipped kitchen. Outside parking is great ( tho the universal law for parking wherever you want during school times never ceases to anaze me as people parked left, right & indeed centre (right in front of the step's to the apartment)) My only minor point would be the TV is rather small & antiquated, especially for the size of the living room. The TV remote was a tad temperamental. The host is superb & I wouldn't think twice about booking again. Highly recommended!

A fabulous place to stay! "The Classroom" is beautiful, modern, has loads of style and was perfect for our 4 night stay on Islay. The location can't be beat, it was easy to drive to all areas of the island from this super central location close to tiny Bridgend. We'd been traveling awhile so I really appreciated having the washing machine and dryer, and having instant coffee available for the morning was also appreciated. The bed was very comfortable, and the location in the pretty countryside very peaceful and quiet. WIFI was terrific and we enjoyed the downtime in the evenings streaming from my laptop connected to the HDMI port on the TV. Port Ellen is only 20-30 minutes away, highly recommend renting bikes and biking the 3 Distilleries Path. Wonderful stay, book it if it's available!

Had a wonderful time! We had a large family gathering to celebrate some birthdays and this place had something for everyone, two year old up to adults. Margaret was accommodating with the toddler and other children and made it really easy for us to celebrate and spend time together. Quite a few things to do within walking distance and centrally located to everything else. House was clean and had everything you need to sleep, cook, and eat. Would highly recommend this accommodation for larger groups.

What a perfect place. Just what we needed. the house is gorgeous and spacious with breathtaking views. Its so well equipped, you just need to bring yourself really. We had a wonderful christmas and no doubt we will be back. The only minor thing was, the heating wasnt set on for our arrival, which should have been done. Instead, we were sat in freezing cold house the first evening. Overal, one of the best places we stayed so far.

The home and location were better than the already beautiful photographs. Jura is outstanding and Nicky's home was beyond expectations.

we had fantastic time at Kintour School House loved the place from top to bottom the house and gardens were better than we could have imagined the open country side with all of the farm and wild animals around us all in all a great place and would thoroughly recommend the property peter April 27 2025

This house is a home from home on a beautiful island. We actually got married on Gigha during our stay and Nicola went above and beyond to help us gather together anything we might need. It is such a beautiful island and this is a brilliant place to stay. There isn't much accommodation of the island so we felt very grateful to have booked Ceol Mara for our special week.

Wir waren mit sechs Personen in dem Haus untergebracht und haben nichts vermisst. Wir haben uns sofort in den Schlafräumen und dem sehr geräumigen und gut aufgeteilten Wohn- Ess- und Küchenbereich wie zuhause gefühlt. Die sehr gut ausgestattete Küche war bestens geeignet für eine Selbstversorgung. Man kann aber auch in dem benachbarten Restaurant (ca. 100 m) sehr gut essen. Die Badezimmer sind wirklich sehr sauber und modern. Insbesondere sind die Duschen sehr gut und auch für große Leute geeignet. Das beste aber war die Freundlichkeit und die Unterstützung durch unseren Host Rebecca. Als es nicht möglich war, bedingt durch einen außergewöhnlichen Sturm von der Insel abzureisen, hat uns unser Host sofort und unkompliziert mit einer geeigneten Unterkunft weitergeholfen. Nochmals vielen Dank dafür. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

Fabulous house in a great location, only 15 mins walk into the centre of Campbelltown. The house was extremely spacious, spotless and comfortable. We had 6 Adults and 2 small children and we were never on top of each other. The house was well equiped and had all the amenities we could want. Michelle was extremely attentive and helpfulll with recomendations for restaurants as well as being understanding about some belonging we had left behind. I would definitely recommend a stay here.
