You can sit, unwind, and watch the wildlife with a distant view of Bald Knob Cross. The cabin sits in the heart of Shawnee National Forrest and the Southern IL wine trail. Located in the heart of the country, Oakbrook Akers Cabin is an absolute retreat! Hi, hello, welcome! We are excited to have the opportunity to host you for your relaxing trip or jam packed adventure. Our local area has many hiking opportunities to explore, the Southern Illinois Wine Trail surrounds us, and the back roads have country views that are breathtaking. Our cabin will be waiting for your arrival or return, well equipped with a 55" TV above the gas fireplace, a comfortable King size bed, and an amazing back porch with a Weber Grill and huge hot tub.

Modern Cabin at Trillium Ridge

Tucked into the rolling hills of the Shawnee National Forest, our modern cabin offers a welcoming retreat where comfort and nature meet. Wander down a private trail to explore or climb at the Holy Boulders, or take an easy drive to local wineries and see the iconic sights of Little Grand Canyon, Inspiration Point, and Pomona Natural Bridge. When you’re ready to slow down, return to soak in the hot tub, unwind in the sauna, and settle into our cabin made for rest and connection.

Relax, kick back and take in the view. Cozy log cabin nestled in the woods with a breathtaking view of a private 2 acre stocked fishing lake. Private master bedroom features queen sized bed, and attached bath. Loft sleeps four with two full beds and an air mattress. Full kitchen with stove, full size fridge, microwave and dishwasher. Living room with sofa and dining room. Charcoal Grill, fire pit, picnic area, and walking trails. Pets are welcome.

Forested Retreat

This is a nice spacious cabin in the woods right on the water. It has a covered front porch across the entire length of the cabin. There is one bedroom, a sleeping loft, living room, kitchen, dining area, and a bathroom with shower. The interior is all finished in beautiful native hardwood lumber. It is surrounded by large oak trees and has a pond right in front. It is set back approximately 300 ft from a public road which provides excellent privacy.
