My family and I (7 adults & 1 child) recently stayed at ‘The Cottage’ and we all agreed that it was a wonderful holiday. The house is beautiful, very spacious, spotlessly clean and was well equipped for all of our needs. The hub is definitely the kitchen, we enjoyed playing family board games around the dining table. The gardens are amazing we loved watching wild rabbits, squirrels and cows everyday. It was nice to see home grown vegetables and a herb garden too. Our grandson enjoyed playing football with his dad in the garden, jumping on the trampoline and feeding the fish. It is ideally located for travelling into York and not far from the designer outlet. Our group ranged in age from 2yrs to 78yrs and there was something for everyone to do at the house. We all really needed a family break due to recent illness and enjoyed spending time together making lovely memories. We hope to be able to stay again and thank both Neil and Adrienne for sharing their beautiful home with us.

We had an unforgettable and special stay at this beautiful house. The sunny woodland walks among the snowdrops and around the lake were a delight, and we spotted all sorts of wildlife. Our dogs had a great time running and playing in the open field, and the small children (and big kids) in our party absolutely loved the play area, tennis court, and swimming pool… but the highlight of their stay was the hot tub! Meeting our host, Robert (and his little one), was lovely too. The house had everything we needed to enjoy some quality time together in this lovely historic setting — it’s a rare gem. Thank you once again for an unforgettable experience! The little ones are already asking when we can return to the big house — we hope to come again soon!

We had a great stay here. Plenty of room and ideal for a large group / hen stag do. The only thing I would say is it could have been cleaner, it was a bit grubby here and there - we found a fake nail, an old sock and some mouldy bread

We have just stayed at Viva La Brid for a few nights for New Years- X2 family’s with young children and a dog. The house was everything we wanted and exactly as described and shown in photos - very clean and great facilities- we all loved the pool table which was a great addition! Fab Location- right near the beach and close to pubs restaurants and shops and the arcades for the kids. We definitely stay again.

What a beautiful home in a stunning location. Large rooms and so much space for the nine of us. Very responsive host and allowed us to check in 2hrs early which was very helpful. We’d love to visit again!

Location was perfect for what we wanted. But the icing on the cake was the sunshine. We had 2 children with us under 7 so the well stocked playroom was a real bonus!

Great place to stay on the edge of the peaks with a beautiful backdrop. Great space for a bigger group to stay. Great walks nearby and a pub next door was ideal! The cows nearby are especially cute!!
