Farmstead Cottage in Hudson Valley

This cozy cottage along with two barns was once part of a a working farm. Hand-hewn original oak post and beam construction is exposed; it gives the cottage and its cathedral ceilings, a light drenched airy ambience. Equipped with a full kitchen, one gets the country rustic atmosphere without forfeiting modern conveniences. The reclaimed wood siding in the bedroom catches the early morning light reflections of the sunrise. Hand-crafted details abound, the cabinetry, hand-made glass, and photography add accents to the decor. The bucolic surroundings are a great place for respite. One can relax in our perennial gardens or sit in the shade of the one hundred year old wooden barn amongst the hummingbirds and barn swallows. At night sit on our deck and enjoy a starry night or moon shadows without street-lighting to impede the night sky. Located in Stone Ridge, we are only minutes away from the historic village center which is convenient for restaurants, groceries, wine, and farm fresh products. At the same time, we are located on a quiet country road. Our landscape is peppered with horse farms, corn fields and even an alpaca farm! Did you know that the New York Senate resided in Stone Ridge back in the early days for a short bout after the burning of Kingston? Nestled between the breathtaking views of the Shawangunk Ridge and the Catskill Mountains; numerous hiking, biking, world- renowned rock climbing, horse riding, fly-fishing and kayaking possibilities abound. Farm to table, antiques, local produce and fruit picking are amongst only a few other great activities. Winter sports include ice climbing, cross country and downhill skiing. Parking and Wifi are included. A stocked kitchen, a ceiling fan, wireless bluetooth speakers, and hairdryer are additional amenities. Outdoor amenities include a charcoal barbeque, a bistro table and chairs, and fresh herbs to pick when in season! We are registered in Ulster County as a vacation rental and a 2% County Occupancy Tax is included in the price.

Our cozy little cottage is tucked away adjacent to the woods. This single floor 650sf apartment is a perfect place to unwind, build a bonfire, & enjoy the nature that surrounds you. Wake up in the morning to watch deer while enjoying your coffee on the porch. Main St. Tannersville is only an 8 min walk; with its nice selection of restaurants & shops. Hunter Mountain & Kaaterskill Falls are within a 10 min drive . Woodstock, Saugertise, Windham, Catskill & Kingston are within a 35 min drive.

Daydream on our hammock or dine alfresco taking advantage of our barbeque. On a clear night, it is easy to stargaze up through the tall trees, perhaps while toasting marshmallows fireside.

Wake to forest views in a modern A-frame with 2 bedrooms, including a cozy loft. Hike nearby trails, soak in the cedar hot tub, or visit local breweries. In summer, barbecue or gather at the fire pit; in winter, warm up by the wood stove on the 2-acre Catskills property. Note: Guests must be 13 or older, and all teenagers must be listed on the reservation. Pets are welcome with prior approval, agreement to pet rules, and payment of the pet fee. The Metsämökki is a small Finnish cabin in the foothills of the Catskill Mountains. Originally a sauna that was shipped here from Finland. We renovated it to a tiny house that offers complete privacy. Enjoy the babbling brook while sitting on the deck and taking in the surrounding nature.
