Stainless steel appliances and tv with streaming services. Easy hop to Blue Ridge Parkway, hiking and biking, wineries, Boone. About a mile to downtown. Watch wildlife from your private rear deck, sit on covered front porch, or stroll the 2.6 acres of grounds. Adjacent to greenspace/parkland. Dogs allowed! (limit 2) Pet fee charged.

Nestled among the trees at the top of the ridge of Bell Mountain is our lovely cabin, aptly named The Whip-poor-will's Roost. These bird's distinctive calls can be heard in the early evening hours, a complimentary soundbite to the fresh mountain air. About 20 mi. from the Blue Ridge parkway, and looking out over + surrounded by Stone Mountain State Park and the Doughton Recreational area, this log cabin offers a peaceful getaway with ample access to the outdoors (including our own 18 acres).

After a day of winery hopping, come back and enjoy some more wine and cheese in the beautiful, new spacious kitchen, or relax out back at the fire pit, taking in the expansive views! The quaint town of Elkin is located minutes away for dining and shopping, or go for a hike at Stone Mountain!

Whip-O-Will Cabin: Secluded Log Cabin Treehouse

Enjoy a secluded stay in our one of a kind, luxurious log cabin treehouse. The treehouse offers 2 bedrooms, the master bedroom on the main floor with a rock shower and the loft bedroom with a half bath. The treehouse has a full wrap around porch with jacuzzi tub overlooking a spring branch and fire pit. Enjoy the outdoor shower with a 16” rainfall shower head under the treehouse next to the spring branch. Our gravel road welcomes you to a cozy home in the trees.
