My wife and I can’t thank Alison enough for letting us stay at her beautiful home in celebration of our anniversary. The house was perfect for a relaxing getaway and had amazing views of the Cacapon River. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer place in the area, and a more gracious host! 5/5 stars

This place is GORGEOUS- it's definitely out in nature so you'll see some bugs, but the house was spotless, and the views were unbelievable. Any issues we ran into were quickly addressed, and we were so obsessed with the house/surrounding area we didn't really feel the need to venture into town (though it looked super cute on the drive in). Great place & great host!

This place was absolutely beautiful. Felt very much like a HOME! We loved every second of it! Had a little coffee bar which was an amazing touch! Loved the privacy and the little game room. Everything about this little cabin! Will absolutely come back in the future!

This place was absolutely AMAZING this was a trip we planned with our family with our 3rd and finale child and it couldn’t have been any better! We also brought our (2) 13 year old labs who of them we just found out has liver cancer and has a short amount of time left with us so this place was just what we need to enjoy our family and love on our old men a little extra! We will defiantly be back to this place!! You won’t regrets staying here! It’s absolutely amazing!!

John and Jade's place was awesome! It was secluded and in a beautiful area. Wardensville was a quick drive away and had food and grocery options. They were responsive hosts and everything stated in the listing was exactly as described. Would definitely recommend for a weekend getaway!

We were looking to escape the noise and hustle of the city, and this was the perfect spot for what my friends and I called our “Relax and Reboot” getaway. From a peaceful sunrise by the river to unwinding in the hot tub, every moment was incredible. The house was the perfect blend of modern comfort and rustic charm—a truly beautiful log cabin. The hosts were friendly and provided great recommendations for local spots to explore. Overall, an unforgettable experience!

We loved our stay! The house was perfectly located with easy access to Star Tannery, Wardensville and Strasburg. We had everything we needed for a wonderful, relaxing weekend! It was well stock with all the little extras you need, including the kitchen, flashlights, matches, umbrellas, etc. We loved roasting s’mores by the fire and relaxing in the hot tub. My kids loved the loft so much! And it was a 3 minute drive to the amazing Eagle Rock hike. Thank you!!

Greatly enjoyed my time at Hannah’s place. The cabin next door wasn’t rented out while I was there so it was very quiet and private. Enjoyed sitting by the water and fishing. The stairs and hill are quite steep but doable for those without limitations. The hot tub was a nice added amenity as well. Beds were also very comfortable. Overall I enjoyed my time and I would stay there again.

Wonderful time staying at Kona’s Cabin. Hosts were wonderful and the place was a true gem, perfect get-away to the Shenandoah Valley.

We had an amazing time at Maureen’s place! The place itself is incredibly well stocked and the view was spectacular, will definitely be returning!

This place was fantastic for a group. Kitchen was well stocked with good utensils and cookware. The appliances were all very nice as well as the atmosphere. They note that it can be hard to find with GPS. this is true. Apple Maps and Waze WILL take you to the wrong place. Google Maps seemed to work perfect. Only comment id add is it’s seems you need to hit star * after typing the gate code. Great place if you want a remote escape.

Our family of three — along with our beloved Goldendoodle — had an unforgettable stay at The Blue Cabin at Warden Lake! Jim and Lindy have created the perfect escape for anyone looking to unwind, recharge, and reconnect with nature. Nestled in a peaceful, scenic setting, the cabin strikes the perfect balance between cozy charm and modern convenience, offering every amenity we needed for a relaxing long weekend. We spent our days enjoying the breathtaking views from the deck, gathering around the firepit under the stars, and soaking up the warmth in the inviting sunroom. Warden Lake itself is absolutely stunning — perfect for fishing, peaceful walks, and simply taking in the serenity of the water. This hidden gem is truly a slice of heaven, and we can’t recommend it highly enough. We’re already counting down the days until we return this Fall!

Words alone can not do this cabin justice. Selena has created such a welcoming country environment. It is so obvious that she has put love and attention into every detail. It feels like home. This is a peaceful place where you can watch the birds feed from the kitchen window. Patterson's Creek runs through the property so there is an abundance of wildlife to admire. The backyard is like your own private resort complete with a firepit where you can recline while listening to the sounds of the creek, the frogs and crickets topped off by a crackling fire. Trust me... it doesn't get much better than this. All of this, and I found a new friend in Selena. She is an exceptional host and you won't find a nicer person. I can't wait to return... this place speaks to my soul!

My husband and I booked this cabin for our two year anniversary trip. This cabin was absolutely amazing! If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway, this is it. Everything was spotless and super clean and the space itself was cozy and well stocked with plenty to do inside. The hike up to the overlook near the cabin was definitely a workout, but 100% worth it for the view. We loved how quiet and serene the area was—truly a perfect escape. There was some adorable shops and a delicious restaurant just 15 minutes away and the lake was only about seven minutes from the cabin, which made for a great day trip. Highly recommend this spot if you want to unplug unwind and enjoy nature.

We love this home, we enjoyed every moment of our stay, it truly exceeded my expectations, an excellent place to disconnect from society.

Everything was fantastic! This has been the cleanest rental we have ever been to, by far!!The house is completely stocked with anything you could possibly need. They even left us a little welcome package with water, snacks and a bottle of wine. The area was super quiet and very easy to find. We will absolutely be back!

A rustic cabin in the woods for some R and R was what we had hoped for…and we got it! Beautiful wood beams. So nice to have a private bathroom, as well as a window unit for heat and A/C. The shared kitchen was less than 50 feet away and had all the cooking vessels, utensils and cookware to make a meal. But we loved going to cafe! Barbara and her team served up delicious meals.

It was a great place to stay. Plenty of rooms and beds. Clean and Abby was very responsive when we had any questions. Amazing view the back deck and a nice quiet location tonrest and recuperate.

it was honestly out of this world. it was truly amazing especially in the morning when I woke up! the area was soo private and it just felt like I was in a place that you find far far way lol would recommend this to anyone wanting to be in there own lil space and environment

I think it can be hard to find a great spot for a winter vacation. This was an incredibly cozy stay for a weekend of rest and rejuvenation. I love — love — that covered patio. It was a dream to curl up with cocoa & a book in that space while looking out at the river. The space is about a half hour drive from hiking, but it’s perfect for a restful vacation. I especially loved that you could clearly see the stars from the patio at night & there were no fireworks for New Year’s Eve in the area, which my nervous puppy was so grateful for. Would love to go back!

My husband and I stayed there for a parent's weekend away and to celebrate his upcoming birthday. We both loved the location, and the amenities provided. The cabin was so cute and comfortable. The location couldn't be beat. He was able to kayak and fish, while I enjoyed reading on the deck in the porch swing. We didn't have to bring anything other than our personal items and food. Everything else was provided and well stocked. We both hope to return for another trip later this summer. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quiet get away.
