Close to Lake Almanor, Bucks Lake, the quaint towns of Quincy and Belden, snowshoeing, fishing and many other outdoor activities. We also have a Little Tree Library with books for all ages, or little games to play. Plus, we include many lawn games right here on the historic Paxton Lodge property.

Downstairs you will find a bedroom, bar area and game lounge. Indoor Jacuzzi additional amenity $75 per stay unlimited use. Contact host if interested in adding for your stay. Paid upon arrival.

In Gold Country

Cozy private space to relax in and take a nice break from all the outdoor fun. Complimentary Wine, Craft Beer and coffee. The mountain tap water is great to drink. The dining table overlooks the pine forest, there’s a lounge room with a large comfy sectional couch and a Fire TV set up for streaming shows. Another Fire TV is in the bedroom. Satellite WiFi works well but occasionally glitches. Has been fine for guests working remote, but most are enjoying events or the outdoors:)

Only you will be in the Apt and is upstairs, with balcony, Laundry room downstairs, has Fiber Optic cable and smart TV, yard: gas BBQ and gated parking. A shared public 2,000 sqft game room with half bath, music, TV, games:, foosball, ping pong, corn hole darts. Pet charge is a one time fee of $35/pet for cleaning, with a 2 pet max. Camera's in public areas.

We are a pet-friendly dwelling and welcome all pets who have good house manners. As we do live upstairs with 3 pets - there will be some footsteps from time to time. This unit stays nice and cool in the summer and there are heaters to keep warm in the winter. There is lots of space to socialize and a full kitchen to utilize. Whether traveling for work or pleasure - The Storybook Suite will provide a cozy mountain farm retreat.
