This retreat on the lake was absolutely perfect for spending time with extended family during a Notre Dame game weekend! The house was flawless! Everything that was described in the listing was exactly how we found it. Our host was super quick to respond to any questions we had during our stay. Melissa Joy's place is so peaceful and cozy. Our family of 10 adults, 2 toddlers, and an infant were very comfortable. The little ones had plenty of room to play and the adults had great seating with a beautiful view of the lake. The kitchen was perfectly stocked to host our family Thanksgiving dinner. We had such a great time and we plan to return for the summertime!

Leah was a phenomenal host, very responsive and fast with her replies to my questions. The place was super comfortable and welcoming. It was peaceful and quiet just as advertised. Had a wonderful stay!

We enjoyed our stay here! It was a little hard to find at first but even though it was right off the road the back yard felt very private. Easy to walk to the beach and around the neighborhood. For two people and a dog it felt very spacious and the outdoor area was very beautiful with all the fall colors. It was a nice area with easy access to the state parks we visited.

this was so perfect! i came here to celebrate my birthday with my friends and we had so much fun ! everything was clean and organized when we got there and it was such a cozy and comfortable place !

Howard is an amazing host. He was super responsive and accommodating to our large group. He had all the amenities that were listed on the property and more! We had more than enough towels and even kitchen appliances, spices, and utensils. His instructions were clear about checking out and our group had a wonderful weekend. We really enjoyed our stay. The view is beautiful. The area is quaint, quiet and relaxing. The house was beautiful and roomy, beds were comfortable. We enjoyed playing the video game and spent the evenings around the fire pit. Host was helpful and responsive to all questions. Would book again.

Happy I found this listing and stayed. great Host, cummicated and was exactly as advertised. good location a few blocks from downtown 10-15 minutes walking. would definitely stay again.

Had a good stay. Host was kind and very responsive. Place is very clean and comfy. Kitchen has all you need appliances. Super happy there was coffee! Bit away from downtown. Expect a $15-25 dollar cab ride.

Michael’s apartment was clean, convenient, and cozy. We enjoyed a 4-night family vacation staying here. We were able to walk to some really delicious restaurants and the parking in the back of the building made it easy to visit other parts of the city. All of Michael’s instructions were timely, accurate, and clear. We would definitely stay here again if we returned to Chicago!

Great location! Felt safe and easy to get around. Close to the Vic Theater and the El. The space was very comfortable for 3 of us. Once we figured out the codes/keys, it was easy enough. I would definitely stay again. Cathy is super easy to talk to and very responsive. Thank you, Cathy!

This was a beautiful place with an excellent view of Lake Michigan. Both rooms had comfortable beds and setup with everything you need. Kitchen is well stocked, but we mostly ordered Grub Hub, lol. Loved spending time here and great place to hangout and chat with friends. It is right on the water and we really enjoyed watching the waves crash against the barrier. It is on the 2nd floor, but the stairs are not bad at all. Felt very safe and having the parking space is a great perk. Very commutative and checked in with us to make sure everything was fine. Would definitely stay here again!

These hosts are lovely as is this space. The amenities are wonderful and go beyond what they would need to provide - making travel easier! The apartment is spacious, comfy and clean. The area is full of places to go and also right on the Clark bus line, making access to the rest of the city easy peasy. Highly recommend.

The Pines Cottage in Michiana Shores was the perfect escape for my sister and me—a busy Finance Director and Grants Manager—finally pressing pause on juggling responsibilities. Though it was a working vacation, this beautifully curated retreat by Meta Rose allowed us to relax, reconnect, and recharge. The blend of modern amenities with rustic charm made it feel like home, and the kitchen—my domain—was a dream for any home chef, snuggly designed yet perfect for cooking and baking. The serene surroundings and walkability gave us space for reflection and creativity, making our time here truly good for the soul. We can't rave enough about this little slice of joy and will absolutely be back! WARNING - you're going to fall in love all too easily with it!

We had a great time staying at Amy's place! It is the perfect size for a couple. It feels very cozy and like you are actually staying at someone's home vs. the sterile Airbnbs that are owned by corporate entities these days. The property is as described. It is very private, yet close to everything! I would recommend staying here if you're in the area.

Perfect home for a long weekend that included a Notre Dame football game. The home had plenty of space for two couples and the kitchen is beautifully updated. The house is exactly like the photos and even better in person. Lovely large yard, plenty of seating out by the lake, kayaks for use, a firepit; a great vacation home. Bonus on an ND football weekend: much less traffic coming from north of campus, easy drive getting in and out of campus.

Charming, romantic, rustic, peaceful. Cannot overstate how lovely our stay was. The cottage is just as described and provided everything we needed to have the weekend away that we wanted. Highly recommend getting out in the early morning to go deer spotting! We walked the entirety of the trails and enjoyed every bit of it. Definitely staying here again!

This was our second stay. The place has so much character and the fireplace and masonry heater are splendid in winter. I can just sit in front of the fire all day enjoying it and the view of the channel. Once I am there, it is hard to leave that peace and coziness.
