Ready for a rustic getaway? Our unique rental is located in a working horse barn and wedding venue in the peace and quiet of the country, and less than 5 minutes from I-77! Enjoy your morning coffee on our porch overlooking the rolling hills and pasture fields. Horses do not live in the barn anymore, but in our pasture surrounding the barn. You can enjoy morning or evening walks around the hay field or with a short drive get to the river or new river trail for some outdoor activities!

Enjoy the small town charm of Galax, VA in our 2022 newly remodeled 2 bedroom, 1 bath loft. We are walking distance to downtown offerings (less than ½ mile!),  ½ mile to Galax  New River Trail entry, and 1 mile from Felts Park, which hosts the annual World’s Largest Old Time Fiddlers Convention every August. Downtown offerings include The Rex Theater, BBQ, coffee shops, Antique shops, boutique shops, and Chestnut Creek School of the Arts.

Our favorite place to slow down and enjoy the beautiful place we live. Quiet, peaceful, and simple. Hang out on the porch and just listen to Chestnut Creek or go down to the water to play or fish. Walk or bike to the adjacent park to play at the playground or cross the bridge to access the New River Trail (part of the New River Trail State Park). It's the perfect place to just rest or to get out and enjoy southwest Virginia.

RIVER VIEW GETAWAY

Relax on the New River in the renovated hayloft of a horse barn -- perfect for a peaceful country getaway. Located at the end of a winding rural road, this apartment is on a working cattle farm with 3/4 mile frontage along the New River. Hike, fish, canoe, or just watch the hawks, deer, geese, and turkey.
