The Lookout - dream, hide, explore!

Calling all explorers, dreamers and creatives! Come for a quick retreat or stay to write that book. The lookout was built by owner Rob himself over ten years. There is thought and love behind every little detail. The house isn't perfect, there is raw wood, some things aren't finished, the furniture is vintage and may appear worn but if you look past that, you will find that everything there has its own story and that this house is made for the big things: sunrises, ocean dreaming and full-moons

Glencairn Beach Bungalo

Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. Surf and swim at this safe beach or snorkel in the African Kelp forest below the surface. Hike the iconic Elsie's Peak with its incredibly diverse flora and of course the stunning views of False Bay. In winter you can hear the Southern Right whales breathe on a still night or watch in awe as they breach playfully once the calving season is over. The sea views from our airbnb suite (2 bedrooms and a lounge) are fabulous. Behind us is the mountain reserve and in front lies the wide expanse of False Bay. Down below on the rocks is a natural tidal pool, safe for swimming. We are close to Kalk Bay fishing harbour, the quaint Kalk Bay village, several other tidal pools (perfect for cold swimmers!) and Fishhoek & Muizenberg beaches. We have newly renovated and enlarged our Airbnb space which is now separate from our living space and private.

A beautiful one-bedroom apartment in the picturesque town of Kalk Bay. An amazing space if you are on holiday or a business trip. Situated 25m from the main road and walking distance from many delicious restaurants. This apartment has its own fully functioning kitchen with everything you will need to cook up a storm or you could order food and sit by the fire for an evening in. It also has its own private courtyard with shutter doors that can be opened all the way to invite the outside in.

Beachball B&B

Beachball B&B is located in the heart of the old village of Kalkbay. Set on a cobbled road that ends in a short flight of stairs it is not a thoroughfare. It is within easy walking distance of the tidal pool, the park, numerous restaurants and coffee shops, and the mountain behind with walking trails. The house dates back to 1875 and the unit is an independent wing with its own street access. The station is also close at hand, and there are wonderful shops to explore along the main road.

Our studio apartment opens up onto a 40sq meter balcony with a panoramic view of the Hout Bay Valley and the Helderberg mountains beyond. Large sliding doors disappear into the walls creating an unimpeded indoor/outdoor flow while the elevated position protects your privacy. The open plan bathroom faces onto an enclosed secret garden which includes a frame-less glass shower. The unit has a fully equipped kitchenette and is serviced daily except weekends and public holidays.
