Could not have asked for a better Airbnb experience! Donna made us feel right at home. Her place was like a mini historical step back in time/art museum. My friends abs I enjoyed the local hiking trails recommendations since our plans to ski fell through with the warmth warm up. We also had the most deliciously prepared home cook meals that was an absolute treat to drive back after a day of hiking to comfort but healthy food that we choose from her wide variety menu selection. From vegetarian to the meat lovers. The breakfast in the morning was A+ as it was a surprise each morning with something different. Thank you again and I am sure we will be back.

Great place with shared bathroom and a shared kitchenette in the middle of the ADK region. Still, it does provide the privacy of your own room. Instructions and everything was so clear, and everything just worked as described, so I did not need to ping the host even once. Definitely recommended for single travellers or couples if you are OK with the basic setup and looking for inexpensive accommodation in the ADK.

Charles & Leslies Unterkunft war ein Traum. Die Lage war ideal um von dort aus verschiedene Ausflugsziele anzupeilen. Das Haus war sehr gepflegt und stilvoll eingerichtet. Man hat sich direkt wohl gefühlt. Die beiden waren außerdem wirklich die nettesten und liebenswertesten Gastgeber, die man sich nur vorstellen kann. Sie haben uns zahlreiche Empfehlungen und Tipps zu möglichen Wanderrouten & Restaurants gegeben und waren jederzeit sehr bemüht, unseren Aufenthalt so schön wie möglich zu gestalten. Sie sind ein absolutes Vorzeigebild, wenn es um außergewöhnliche Gastfreundlichkeit geht. Ihr Hund Darwin war mein persönliches Highlight, er war sehr lieb und verschmust. Wir haben alle drei ins Herz geschlossen & würden jederzeit wiederkommen!

Cozy B&B, very comfortable and close to Lake Placid village. Walls are a bit thin. Hosts are friendly and welcoming.

Really great place! It really feels like a home with all that they offer. Really great homemade breakfasts and fresh baked cookies in the evenings. Love it!

Chalet Whiteface was exactly what my boys and I were looking for to facilitate a weekend of hiking in ADK. Allison is an excellent host: very accommodating, focused on making sure that we were comfortable, and always up for a chat. Her place has a cozy feel to it, beds were clean and comfortable, and satisfying breakfasts were served in a comfy lodge common area. The food, drink, and live music (Saturday) at the pub provided the perfect end to a long day of beautiful fall hiking. This is the place to go if you're looking to be hosted by another human being, not a corporation. Stayed here last fall, will be returning next fall.

We had a lovely stay at the Namaste Inn, while in town for a wedding. The room (and house!) was clean and comfortable, and David was a thoughtful and gracious host. Breakfast was delicious! Our group also loved meeting Wilson, the resident canine host. :-) We will definitely be back the next time we're in the area!

We enjoyed our stay, especially the special touches around the guest house (comfortable bedding and claw bathtub) as well as its gorgeous view. Jeff made sure we had everything we needed for a weekend away, clear instructions and local recommendations.
