I booked this property as a kind of ad hoc writing retreat. It was the perfect location to complete what work I needed to do. A quick drive into Sparta for restaurants and supplies also made this a great location.

Our family loved this spot! The house is beautiful, clean and very peaceful. My kids all loved the basement which had a great assortment of games, toys and books. We visited for a weekend and went snowtubing at Mountain Creek (only about 12 minutes away). We also really enjoyed nearby Warwick, NY where we found nice shops and restaurants. It was a great stay - highly recommend!

The place was great and just as pictured/described. Joann gave great instructions and was very responsive. We were only there for a short stay for a race, but it looked like a great area I would’ve loved to explore if we had more time. The only thing I didn’t care for was the requirement for to wash and dry all towels before leaving. Since I already paid a hefty cleaning fee that seemed like a bit much. And the washer/dryer is small so this took a couple of loads to get done.

Great communication and accurate description of the condo. Everything worked (codes, tv, internet ect.) and was in good shape.

Our stay at Starlight Serene was everything we hoped it would be! John was very responsive and helpful, especially as this was our first time using AirBnB. The pictures are very accurate, there were plenty of towels, linens, and a VERY well equipped kitchen - much more than we expected (or I have in my own house, I think!). Lots of nice bonuses to this place - my kids loved the firepit and there was wood on hand as well as a s'mores kit; the hot tub was warm and ready when we arrived. You are at the narrower end of the lake, but still a beautiful view with plenty of wildlife. The location is great - roughly 30ish minutes to Bear Mountain, Legoland, and the Palisades Center (which had tons of rainy-day fun for kids). We even rented a pontoon boat from Murphy's Cove Marina - Richie was really wonderful to us and our kids and they loved their first time boating and fishing on the lake. A wonderful place to stay with family. Clean and spacious, lots of amenities and extras with the place. Felt right at home, miles better than a hotel. Would recommend if you're looking for a comfortable and wonderful stay.

At Thanksgiving we like to be at an Airbnb instead of an hotel while visiting family in the area. Roseanne's place was perfect for three of us. The condo was very comfortable, clean and a private place to be altho we didn't spend a lot of time there. The beds were comfortable and there is a lovely view. We would stay there again.

We had a weekend youth retreat and stayed at Alan’s spacious home. We had a great time together. the home was as described, the hosts were very friendly and accommodating, and everything was clean and in good condition. Would definitely recommend for a big group!
