The apartment itself was used during the 1900 as a waiting room for coaches heading South (hence the name!). 25 Weld Street had many uses over the years which include a boxing ring, home for a stevedore family as well as a home for a goats and possums. More recently (after years of renovations) the place has been a printmaking studio, cinema as well as a party venue for MONA owner David Walsh.
