Cottage on the beach

The cottage is right on the shore. It is self contained with a kitchen area and small bathroom. The twin beds, on a mezzanine floor, can be hooked up to make a super king-sized bed. Guests will have access to the beach and a garden area. Parking is on site. Although there is no washing machine, I can wash clothes for guests in my house which is next door. I live next door and will interact with guests as much or as little as they wish. I am usually at home, but if I am travelling I will arrange for a neighbour to keep contact with my guests. Coney Island is between Ardglass and Killough. There are shops and restaurants in both. It is under an hour from Belfast and within sight of the Mourne Mountains and Newcastle. Ardglass has a golf course and there are lots of opportunities locally for walking, fishing and watersports. Public transport is limited, but possible. There is a bus from Dublin airport with a connection to Downpatrick. There is a bus from both Belfast airports with connections to Downpatrick, about six miles from Coney Island. If I am home I will pick up guests from Downpatrick. Taxi fare is around £10. The upper floor is accessible to able bodied adults and children, but would present problems to anyone with mobility problems. (See Pic)

Killough is a quiet, picturesque village which lies on the Irish Sea shore, near Ardglass, 5 miles from Downpatrick. Cara- Na-Mara is a beautiful, recently renovated 2 bedroom cottage overlooking the sea. Suitable for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and families. It's close to all area golf courses including Ardglass and Royal County Down. It is on Lecale Way for walkers and cyclists. There's easy access to the Mourne Mountains, beautiful coastal drives and Strangford Lough.

Quoile Cottage - self-contained character cottage

My place is close to restaurants and dining, family-friendly activities and art and culture. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers and families. If you love nature, beautiful walks and fishing then this would be an ideal location for you! Game of Thrones fans would also think it a good spot. Please note there is one bedroom with a queen bed downstairs and a day bed which can be made into two singles upstairs. There is no door between.

Are you looking for the 'wow' factor? This cosy mid terraced house is located just behind the Main Street. It is within minutes’ walk to the cafes, bars and restaurants of Newcastle, a lovely scenic part of Northern Ireland. Number 7 is ideally situated for access to the Mourne Mountains, the beach and Royal County Down Golf course. Within 10 minutes’ drive are Murlough Nature reserve, Tollymore Forest Park and Castlewellan Forest park, as well as Funny Farm Adventures.

The Barn at Pink Cottage

The Barn at Pink Cottage is close to Downpatrick, Strangford Lough and right at the centre of Game of Thrones filming locations in County Down. You’ll love my place because of it's quirkiness, cosiness, stained glass windows and medieval feel. Loft @ Mournes sweep to the Sea

This is a self contained loft space with its own entrance, while still being part of our home. It has its own ensuite shower room, a small kitchen/dining area with fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, sink and a 2-ring portable hot-plate. Please note….. it does NOT have an oven. It also has a settee & satellite TV. There is also access to our WiFi Internet.
