The cabin in Cooksmill Green

Our cabin is exactly that. It’s a cabin that is functional. A good base to explore the area or attend a function. It’s not a 5 star hotel but warm, clean and cosy. This is a purpose built cabin with 2 good sized bedrooms, an open plan lounge/kitchen/diner and a bathroom with a bath and shower. It is situated within a 15 minute walk to the nearest pub, 1.5 miles from Roxwell and 6 miles from Chelmsford Railway station Due to the rural location it is strongly advised you follow the what3words

'The Little House' - in the centre of Stock

'The Little House' ( my grandson's name for it it) is a hidden gem, tucked away in the centre of the lovely village of Stock. It is a detached, converted small barn with its own entrance, key box and allocated parking space in front. You'll find this accommodation light and airy and very private, decorated with a sailing theme throughout. There are two village shops (with late opening hours) , a hairdresser and beauty salon, four pubs and a cafe within less than five minutes walk.

The Pickers' Lodge

Based on the outskirts of Chelmsford this unique cabin sits on a working fruit farm. It offers a peaceful setting to work from or relax in which overlooks a small plum orchard. Just a short walk away you can pick up supplies from Lathcoats Farm Shop or use The Bee Shed Coffee House for breakfast or lunch. The Picker's Lodge offers a kettle, toaster, microwave and everything you need for something quick and easy in the evening or visit a local pub or restaurant, plenty to choose from!

Tawney Lodge is beautifully decorated countryside retreat with a kitchen, wet room, relaxing sitting room and huge bedroom with a king size bed. All rooms overlooking stunning countryside. We back onto Ongar Park Woods which joins to Epping Forest making a wonderful walk into Epping. It is located 2 miles from Epping and ideally located for people attending weddings at Gaynes Park, Blake Hall and Mulberry House. Epping tube station (central line) is under five minutes drive.

Private studio with deck

A comfortable studio apartment set apart from the main house with off road parking right outside. Guests have their own front door, and there is a private deck looking out over neighbouring farmland . The studio has a private shower room, fresh towels and sheets are provided. There is a small kitchen area with a microwave, a toaster and an air fryer. We can arrange check in and check out times to suit us both, and we are happy to advise on the local area. Please ask!

Chelmsford 10 to 12 minute drive to city centre and railway station. Stansted 20 minute drive away, Broomfield Hospital and Farleigh Hospice 10 minute walk away. Buses to Colchester, Braintree and Chelmsford from outside front door. Chelmsford Park and Ride service is 5 minute drive.

The Barn is located within the grounds of our Grade 2 listed Cottage and yet is far enough away from the main house to allow our guests privacy. The property offers two luxurious double bedrooms and a modern bathroom with shower and bath. The light and spacious living / kitchen area is fully equipped with all appliances including a dishwasher and provides comfortable seating for all our guests. Guests will receive a welcome pack of goodies on arrival.

Spacious, self contained accommodation in a peaceful location. This annexe offers lots of space, a fully equipped kitchen, a desk to work at and large wardrobes for storage. Parking for 1 vehicle, 2nd space available if requested. It’s a 5 min drive from the The Brentwood Centre & approx. 10 min drive to the High Street. There are local supermarkets, takeaways & restaurants within a 15 min walk away. There are some lovely walks on the door step.

Short walks to local pubs and restaurants, close to local wedding venues such as Crondon Park, Downham Hall and Stock Brook Manor, and a 5 min taxi ride from Billericay which has a lively nightlife.
