This place is highly recommended! This cottage is absolutely adorable, it sits beside Dominique and Alain's house on a cute little pond. There are cats and geese and ducks wandering around, but they didn't make any noise at all! Inside, the cottage is so clever in the layout, with everything you need, from kitchen supplies (vinegar, oil, salt, sugar) to blankets and thick towels. The bed was very comfortable and the Vellux blinds kept it very dark upstairs. Alain gave me tips on hiking (I did the Ballade des Katts walk to the monastery directly from the path beside the property). The local beer in the fridge was a very nice touch and the WiFi worked perfectly, which was good because the cell reception was patchy. The landscape is beautiful and the WWI sights are poignant and well signposted. Don't miss the daily 8 pm commemoration for the fallen in Ypres at the Menon Gate. When the bagpipes played Amazing Grace, there were tears...

Had a lovely time at Ruth’s. Both Ruth and her Partner made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was Fantastic and gave us a great start to the day. Our room was right near the main entrance, which made it easier to not disturb anyone. The room was clean and well furnished and met all expectations. We Sadly had to cut our holiday short by 1 day. Only due to Little one being hard work. Ruth kindly did supply a cot bed for our little one to sleep in which was very kind and helpful. But I would recommend to not take a child of a young age to Ghent. Nearly all the roads are cobbles which does test your patience with a pram. There is lots to do near by within a 15 minute walk in most directions.. Big thank you to them both.

Vriendelijke gastvrouw en gastheer, gezellige, sfeervolle ruimtes, alles netjes en schoon en een prima ontbijt. We waren in Kortrijk voor een fietstoertocht. We konden onze fietsen veilig binnen stallen. Van harte aanbevolen.

Emily is a wonderful hostess who went out of her way to make our stay relaxing and enjoyable. Her breakfasts were generous and always had fresh, new and interesting items to tempt… including cheeky chocolate chunks! The accommodation is also generous with plenty of space and, weather permitting, a lovely garden to enjoy. The position is also excellent, providing easy access to many of Belgium’s cities and attractions if you want to avoid moving from place to place. We highly recommend Emily’s place and plan to return in the future.

Had a wonderful stay after a visit to Bruge. Travelling as 2 adults, 3 kids, there was lots of space and bedrooms were fantastic. Jan was so kind to us, and incredibly kind to our children, especially as we woke up on Easter Sunday. They arranged an Easter egg hunt for our children as we had arrived totally unprepared for Easter as had been on a road trip for the past 2 weeks. The kids also loved the chickens and the garden. Lots of lovely little touches, and to they gave us lots of recommendations of places to eat, and what to do on the next stage of our trip through Belgium. Would thoroughly recommend, especially for family's.

Freddy is een geweldige gastheer. Het vakantiehuis was precies zoals in de advertentie beschreven. Alles wat je nodig hebt, is aanwezig. Het ontbijt was zeer uitgebreid en vers!

we only stayed one night at Jans place we arrived around 8.30pm. its a very lovely cottage, everything there you could want, comfy beds, hot water and a wood burning stove if you wanted to light it, the stairs to the upstairs are very steep so be aware going up and down, both bedrooms have a tv and onsuite bathrooms, plus a downstairs toilet, plenty of room for the dogs and places to walk, bonus was we found a just eat delivery online.

J’ai passé une excellente nuit chez Odette. Elle était une hôte très accueillante et attentionnée. Elle nous a préparé un délicieux petit-déjeuner et l’ambiance était chaleureuse, comme à la maison. Je la recommande vivement à tous ceux qui cherchent un séjour convivial et authentique. Merci beaucoup, Odette !

Tolle Unterkunft für das Radrennen Paris -Roubaix. Sehr sauber, freundliche Gastgeber, auf Wunsch gibt es auch Kaffee und Brot morgens.

Een heel leuk verblijf gehad bij Carine en haar man! Ze waren heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam wat ons verblijf heel aangenaam maakte! De ontvangst was fantastisch, we werden meteen begeleid naar de mooie tuin om te genieten van een lekker aperitiefje... Een 'picon' van het huis!! De accommodatie was super proper en goed onderhouden waardoor we ons meteen thuis voelden. 's Ochtends werden we verwend met een heerlijk ontbijt. We zijn enorm tevreden en kunnen dit verblijf van harte aanbevelen aan iedereen die op zoek is naar een comfortabele en zorgeloze ervaring in de mooie streek rond Ieper!!!

Nous avons passé un excellent moment ! Un accueil arrangeant et surtout chaleureux. Un logement facile d'accès, tranquille, où on se sent bien. et que dire du petit déjeuner !! Tout était parfait. Un grand merci à nos hôtes que nous recommandons vivement et qui sont franchement agréables !!!

Had a stay to leave from Tournai to Mons the next day. We had complications with getting there because of the trains, but the host was very accommodating, flexible, friendly and responsive. The room was really clean and comfortable and we had a great breakfast!

Nous y retourneront avec grand plaisir l'an prochain. Tres reposant.propre. Hôte disponible et agreable. Confort du lit ++++++ Bon petit déjeuner. Rien a redire. On a apprécier ce moment en amoureux, au calme. Merci Emilie pour l'accueil.

The location may be a bit out of the main part of Lille but it's such a peaceful neighbourhood. It's also just a 10 mins walk to the park connecting to the Citadel and the Lille Zoo. The metro is very close to the apartment. The room was clean and if you like art, you'll find the room really beautiful and charming. Didn't meet Isabelle but her husband was there to welcome me. He was very kind and hospitable. Although short, I enjoyed my stay here.

Overall it was a perfect spot to stay in especially if you have a pet. Although the loft stairs was not exactly pet friendly, the whole space was spacious and breezy with a lot of windows. It is an old building so don’t expect sparkly clean floors and furnitures, it’s vintage and it’s very well maintained. Netflix readied available for you to use and a fridge to store any food. Enjoyed our time very much.

Anke belde ons heel attent vooraf, gaf vriendelijke aanwijzingen en dacht mee. En wat een prachtige ruimte! Heerlijk bed en koninklijke badkamer. We komen zeker nog eens terug.

Prachtige logeerkamer in een sfeervolle boerderijwoning. Lieve host. En een heerlijk ontbijt. Zeer fijn bed. De omgeving lijkt me ook zeker mooi. Maar voor mij was het alleen een overnachting op doorreis. En even weg van de snelweg.

Bruno war äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend, hat uns gut unterstützt, verlässlich und großzügig. Das Zimmer ist außergewöhnlich, die kleine Terrasse ein Traum. Sehr gern kommen wir wieder.
