Childwall Cottage

Our lovingly restored and converted stone barn. Our aim is for guests to experience a historic and traditional Irish country home, while enjoying the comforts of modern living. We have SKYTV, DVD and WIFI but we can also offer the peace and quiet of the rural Irish countyside. Three double bedrooms compliment a spacious open plan ground floor. With its own grounds and parking, this stone property is on the edge of three counties and perfect for exploring the ancient south east and its coast.

Situated in a picturesque location on the side of the arrigle valley the cottage has been lovingly restored to its original build. The cottage has all modern conveniences while keeping its old charm. The ReImaginator is called after a machine in my first children's book that restored stolen imaginations because building this space was the first step Robbie and I took in following our own dreams - we hope it inspires you to do the same. The treehouse is at the bottom of a forest like garden right in the heart of Kilkenny, just 10 minutes walk from the town centre. A true rural retreat in an urban setting. This warm & cosy space is surrounded by bird song - a perfect place to get inspired.

From artist studio to guest house, this little building is an ongoing project, with so much to offer. Sitting on higher grounds just behind the main house, it has its own garden with a view to take your breath away. It’s a bit of a rise to get there but totally worth it. If you keep climbing across small fields and a strip of forest, you’ll find yourself on Slievenamon’s mountain trails. Downhill from here lies Kilcash village, pub, church, more forestry and the ruins of an old castle

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Our Orchard Gallery Apartment is situated in the middle of Highbank Organic Orchards with views from all sides of the farm. The Apartment is part of my house, built on the farm 15 years ago and boasts lavish floral works of art, painted by me, on its walls. A wonderful natural light flows throughout the apartment with wide vistas of the farm from every room. A quite, comfortable rural retreat for anyone on business or pleasure .

Croc an Oir is a romantic retreat for a couple, and traditional features include a cosy woodburner, a half door, arched windows and a delightful loft style bedroom. There is also a private courtyard and garden.

Ideal for a cosy winter break or a relaxing summer countryside escape. Comfortable bedrooms and bright airy spaces will greet you on arrival.

Wren's Nest is a unique off grid retreat nestled among the trees at the back of our wild cottage garden. It is the ideal place to relax with a book and enjoy the many small birds and wild plants that share the space. It is a great base for walkers and cyclists to explore the surrounding pretty villages and beyond. What better way to spend an evening than to cook in the out door kitchen and dine under the stars.
