The natural setting surrounding the house is lovely and private. The house itself was spotlessly clean and very well stocked with linens, towels, and kitchen tools and supplies. The beds are very comfortable and it's quiet for sleeping. We spent most of our time in the all-glass kitchen, which despite so-so weather felt like we were outside when inside - really special room. Chris was very easy to reach and communicative for anything we needed. We enjoyed a wonderful extended family weekend and would stay again!

The place is wonderful, had a great cozy stay, the beds are comfortable. Would recommend if you’re looking for a place that’s close by all the restaurants and attractions.

We had an amazing time at Marybeth’s suite—it truly felt like a winter wonderland. Our kids had a blast "swimming" in the snow and "rolling" over the gentle hills. Every moment was filled with joy, whether we were relaxing in the sunroom, playing in the snow, or swinging outside. The time spent together as a family, along with our conversations with Marybeth and her family, was truly precious. We can’t wait to return in the summer!

Lovely and Rustic for sure. A bit of a hike 10-15 minutes up to it. Bed is comfy too.

Spent a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend at Travis' place with my husband and two young daughters. The house is beautifully appointed and so cozy. We played games by the fire, watched a movie in the cozy tv room, and made and enjoyed lovely meals in the kitchen. The house is even more magical than it looks in the photos, and we certainly hope to be back.

The best Airbnb I have stayed in in years. It was so much better than I had expected. Angela and Chris were wonderful and I look forward to my next visit

My husband and I had a great stay. James and Rose are super helpful hosts. It’s a great place to relax and enjoy nature. Walking distance to a lovely park they recommended with tons of hiking trails and very quiet.

This is at least our 4th time staying at what we call "The Farm" and it is our favorite getaway! We even got my brother to drive 1.5 hours out of his way on his family trip to Boston so he could check it out. A rare gem!

It was a lovely stay, we loved all the decor and little extras Sara added. Meeting the calves was so sweet and we also enjoyed shopping at the farm stand. I would definitely go back and would recommend to others.

The house accommodated four of us very well. Three bedrooms and two baths worked great for us after a long wet day of cycling. Nice living room, kitchen, and dining room with extra rec room downstairs. The host was extremely helpful and responsive. The bedrooms were of good size.

We had a Girls weekend at this beautiful house we had an amazing time! I highly recommend. this house had everything you needed and more we loved lighting a fire and sitting around the fire pit, We will definitely be back!

The cabin exceeded all our expectations! It had everything we needed to feel at home, and the farm and trail behind the house is well worth exploring.

We had such a lovely time in the silo. The bed was super comfy, the view beautiful, and the lodging so unique. Super close to some nice hiking spots. Robert had some really great recommendations! We were joined by many lucky ladybugs. This might not be the place for you if you have a fear of spiders but we appreciated the company and just being in nature with all the amenities of home.

Mara and Ross are wonderful hosts, very caring and helpful and lovely. Everything about our stay was perfect and super comfortable. There are very thoughtful touches throughout the house. The location is perfect - it's quiet and beautiful yet close to busier locales like Mystic. Five stars.

Stayed with my best friends from Hotchkiss as a little sweet reunion—adorable house, super clean, and fantastic location. The sweet Williams pastries for breakfast were the sweetest touch! Really a wonderful place to stay.

So many pros! -It all is idyllic. Property, trails, and cottage. -Super rustic yet modern enough to be comfortable. The hard wood floors and walls are beautiful, and the giant fireplace is glorious. They have plenty of quality aged firewood, kindling, and matches. -I slept so well on the bed so great mattress, pillows, and bedding. -Nice big tv -Plenty of teas, coffees, hot cocoas -Plenty of cookware Minor considerations: -There is no bath tub. Hopefully they’ve changed the listing now, but that was a bummer for me. It has a very nice walk in shower though. -If you are looking to be isolated from people, this may not be the place for you. The cottage is about 75 yards away from a main house, and you are about 10 yards away from a multiple car garage with a long term rental unit above it. Everyone is super friendly so there are no complaints, just know you are not isolated. -The boiler, below the cottage, is cinematic in its sounds. As if the house is alive.

Darilyn and Dermot were exquisite hosts and the space was superb — spotless, thoughtful touches, absolutely everything our family of 4 could need. It’s a beautiful property in a beautiful area with such lovely hosts - hard to imagine not coming back here. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for some peaceful time away. Simply lovely, a wonderful experience all around.

We had a very enjoyable stay at this house, our city kids loved the immaculate grassy backyard. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was well prepped with cookware, and Renee was communicative and responsive.

Even though it rained, the spring weekend was beautiful! Henry’s yard provided the perfect place for kids to run around and play, while enjoying the flowers and the thoughtfully cared for garden. We hiked the nearby beautiful waterfall and strolled around the delightful town of Kent (with a great bookstore and nice cafes). Thank you for a memorable, relaxing weekend!

Great place, very comfortable, easy to get in and out of Litchfield; very responsive host and all in all good value!

We were very fortunate to find this home to stay in for our son's wedding (which was a bit south of Hartford.) Our other adult children, some who are married with littles, also wanted to stay in the same home for the family gathering. Each married couple had their own space and the basement bedrooms were where the ones with little children stayed thus giving them the privacy they needed for napping etc. The 4 bathrooms gave us ample time for everyone to shower prior to the wedding. I loved the check out time at 11 am giving us the ability to sleep in after a busy few nights. The kitchen was well stocked and the refrigerator was quite large which made it easy when bringing food for a very large group. There were toys for the children to play with while the adults got ready and the grounds were very pretty and led to a peaceful atmosphere. There was plenty of room for eating. Large closet spaces etc. We would definitely stay here again if given the opportunity.

The home was exquisite and everything you need for a stay is provided. The description of the home is true in every aspect. It is easy to communicate with Jean Paul the host as he reaches out to see how things are going and if any supplies are required. It is definitely worth the money and visiting again.

My boyfriend and I fell in love with this place as soon as we opened the door. It's quaint, tasteful, and very well cared for. We had absolutely no issues during our stay, and not a single complaint. The perfect getaway to clear your mind and rest, or work on a small craft, or learn something new by picking up one of the many beautiful books they have available to guests of the loft. There are also pamphlets available for things to do in the area if you are looking to explore, eat, or shop. Do yourself a favor and experience the magic of this loft for yourself!
