Such a magic and breathtaking place on earth. The house is quite simple but fresh with separate bedrooms with separate doors. But what a location. Your private paradise beach but with restaurants and small nice hotels as neighbors. Tangalle town is small, friendly and with amazing restaurants. Quite and genuine. To the left you have long beaches with sea turtles. To the right more friendly to swim. The ocean is so close and the only surprise was how roaring the Tangalle coast ocean is. Bring earplugs plugs for better sleep. But all worth it waking up walking two meters and tipping the toes in sand. In your own private villa. We were a family of four and enjoyed the bedrooms, bathrooms en suite and cosy balcony and outdoor terass.

The location of the house was absolutely stunning. Right on the beach which was empty and felt like our own was dreamy, peaceful and idyllic. Lakmal, Dulan and Nihal were so helpful and attentive to all our needs. The breakfasts and dinners Lakmal made every day were absolutely stunning! We had so much variety and a real taste of Sri Lankan cuisine. They looked after us so well and arranged tuk tuks for us when we wanted them. It’s worth taking toiletries as these weren’t provided but honestly i would absolutely recommend this house as a great base to do a morning safari and enjoy the peaceful surrounds. Great value for money!

Ranjith ist ein wunderbarer Gastgeber, immer um seine Gäste bemüht und besorgt. Die Villa mit dem wunderschönen und für uns, perfekten Garten ist schwer zu toppen. Geetha versorgt den Garten sehr liebevoll und unaufdringlich. Die Ausstattung mit den Ventilatoren auf der Terrasse und Klimaanlagen im Haus ist sehr durchdacht. Auch die Beleuchtung sorgt für sehr angenehme Stimmung. Wir haben uns schweren Herzens von Ranjith, Geetha und der wunderschönen Villa getrennt.

Upul and his family are the nicest hosts. They helped out with everything we needed and made amazing breakfast and dinner for a reasonable price. It was much better than the near by restaurants. The location has a great pool and just a few minute walk from the beach. Our favourite beach was silent beach which is 5 minute by tuktuk. Be aware that Sri Lankan nature is around you so don’t be afraid of little insects. We’ve seen peacocks and iguanas in the garden. Overall we had a really good time.

The Green House is a little oasis of calm from the hustle and bustle of the busier parts of Sri Lanka. Immaculately presented with three great bedrooms with ensuite shower rooms, the house is clean and modern. All the staff involved in looking after us and the house were also a real delight - so accommodating and helpful in every aspect. a short walk to a wonderful beach which the kids loved made this one of the best places that we stayed in during our whole trip. Thank you everyone at The Green House!

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt bei Andrew und haben das große Zimmer und den schönen Garten sehr genossen. Es liegt ein bisschen versteckt und viele Driver und Tuktuk Fahrer kannten den Weg nicht, was etwas umständlich war. Ein Screenshot von Google Maps wäre hier am hilfreichsten gewesen. Ansonsten tolles Haus, schönes Zimmer, riesiges Bad, schöner Pool an einem schönen Strand, wo wenig los ist. Andrew war sehr hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend und sein Hund Tomorrow war auch sehr lieb.

This is a nice cozy cabin tucked away behind the road two minutes walk to sandy beach with sun-beds and a private beach. It is perfect for one to two nights, as there are no cooking facilities there. You have to eat from their menu or go out. I stayed five nights so I asked for a mini fridge which they provided for me. Krishan also offered fresh picked coconuts from their trees; it was very refreshing - thank you! Their menu prices are the same as cafes and restaurants along the beach with water-front views and ambiance, and they also charged an extra 10% "Service Charge" to my total which was surprising. Overall i was a fantastic location with miles on private beach. I had a great time there.

The highlights of our stay at Machan Villa were the surroundings and our hosts, Yasith and Soma. We spent a lot of time on the property, enjoying the pool area and beautiful gardens. The property is very private and borders "the jungle" so there was lots of animal life( birds-peacocks, monkeys, lizards). The bedrooms were very comfortable and the bathrooms were large and clean. The kitchen could use some upgrading. There is no microwave and the barbeque and some appliances are looking pretty worn. Yasith and Soma were excellent hosts. They provided wonderful breakfasts every morning ( we did not need lunch!) and cooked great seafood dinners. They took great care of the grounds, pool and house while we were there. They also provided transportation and offered to book tours for us if we wished. We hope to return to the Villa some day!
