It supported a thriving boat building industry with boat builders such as Crossfields of Arnside who were leading builders of Morecambe Bay Prawners and yachts from the 1840s to 1950s. Set in an elevated position at the top of Pier Lane, Carr Garth has amazing views of the Morecambe Bay Estuary right up to The Lake District and further! It is a 50 metre walk from the parking area to the Lodge. There is free Wifi in the Lodge and good mobile signal. This place is a retreat for you to truly unwind, relax & get away from it all, or use as a base for exploring the local area and the Lake District. Unfortunately it is not suitable for children or infants.
