The Grandview Yurt at Hogback Homestead is nestled into the mountains of Vermont. It features beautiful views, and is a minimalist and peaceful alternative to the more populated resort towns. The kitchenette is basic but provides the necessities, and the restroom is an outdoor sawdust style composting toilet. Electricity is supplied via a small off grid solar array, suitable for light electrical use (charging computers and electronics, powering lights etc). Please provide your own bedding!

Riverside Tent Camping Site

Get back to nature! This is a quite riverside primitive campsite. NO BATHROOMS so everything is natural. Come let the tranquil noise of our river lul you to sleep in the fresh Adirondack mountain air. Lots of hiking, boating, rock climbing and mountain biking near by. Only 25 minutes to Lake Placid ( home of two winter Olympics) for some of the Adirondacks best restaurants and tourist destination. There are NO trash facilities on site, so if you pack it in, pack it out!

Camping on a Private Pond

A serene place in nature to unplug and unwind. It's private and quiet with the exception of the sound of the running brook. (NO WIFI or CELL service at the cabin) May come to the house if you need to get in touch during your stay. There is local hiking and two large lakes close by. Farmer's markets and acclaimed theatre are available throughout the Fall Season along with local beer-fests. Most of all, we have one of the most stunning foliage seasons in the country!

This cabin is set up to highlight the best of what Vermont has to offer. Located right across from the bike path and with its own private beach that shows an expansive view of the lake, you will forget all about the world outside. The basement is fully stocked with everything you need to make the most of your trip, including bikes, kayaks, and plenty of family-friendly outside games. Relax at this peaceful 140-acre mountain retreat. Enjoy serene hikes, a refreshing swim in the pond, peaceful streams, and visits with the horses and ducks. Here, time slows down, letting you breathe, unwind, and find peace. We recently added a small community kitchen on the property, and guests are welcome to use it. It has the basics—a gas stove, toaster, water, table and chairs, plates, silverware, and more.
