Chill at the cosy Fisherman's Cottage by the Sea

While away leisurely evenings on the intimate deck with rustic wooden benches at a tranquil cottage in popular Island Wall. Pared-back neutral decor and subtle coastal accents blend with the period features, from barn-style doors, hardwood floors and a wood burner for those cosy nights in. (Please let me know in advance if you want logs ordered) Modern features to compliment, super fast broadband, smart TVs, nest heating. Please note for those with mobility issues these fisherman cottages have steeper stairs than normal and the only bathroom (no shower) is off one of the bedrooms . Our cosy fishermans cottage has everything you will need for a chilled and relaxing stay by the beach. You will enter the cottage through the barn style front door that lead into a small hallway with a fairly steep staircase ( normal for these types of properties) to the bedrooms and bathroom upstairs? The sitting room to the front of the cottage have deep comfortable sofas (separate bed for your dog if required) for watching SKYQ tv or listening to music on the Roberts radio. The cottage is warm and there is a log burner that can be used on a chilly days. The separate dining room has a wooden table that seats 6 people. The large cupboards house crockery and cutlery and the cupboard under the stairs has lounging chairs for the beach. The well equipped kitchen houses a large fridge freezer, oven, hob and microwave, washing machine and dryer and a barn style door that leads out to a private walled decking area with seating. Complimentary tea and coffee will be provided. There are 2 large double bedrooms with comfortable brass beds in each room. All windows have modern shutters that block out any light for lie-ins. All fresh white linen and a choice of pillows in either feather, foam or tempura. One bedroom has a wardrobe with hangers and space for cases and both have bedside cabinets and lighting. The second bedroom leads into the bathroom with a roll top bath and shower . Towels, toilet paper, shower gel and lotion are all provided. The famous Windys is 30 seconds from the front door, serving breakfast and lunch 7 days a week. Watch the sunset every evening whilst sipping a cocktails outside the Neptune pub which is directly on the beach . The harbour with its fabulous restaurants and local arts and crafts is less than a 10 minute walk along the beach. Noise can travel between these fishermans cottages, so please be mindful of your neighbours especially when out in the garden.

The Snuggery is a converted outbuilding that has been set up for a cosy stay with a wood burning stove and lots of snuggly wraps to cuddle up in. The open plan interior, high vaulted ceilings and natural oak flooring create an interior which is fun, light and airy. Walking enthusiasts will enjoy walks from the back door straight on to the North Downs Way and there is a bench by the front door fitted with a heated element, perfect for warming up your walking boots. Sunset lodge is the perfect retreat for luxury relaxation. There are many lovely walks, including the river walk to Bodiam castle. There are many eateries within walking distance and Rye, Tenterden, Camber and Hastings all a short car journey away. We are located on the edge of a small family camping park - Rother valley park- which is a family run, chilled and quiet place to be. The views and sunsets are stunning. Enjoy a drink on the balcony whilst watching the sun go down 🙂

The cabin boasts a Hot Tub overlooking the valley. A short walk into the village with its lovely church and a popular local pub nearby. Near to the ancient town of Rye and just 8 miles to the market town in Tenterden. The famous Chapel Down and Gusbourne wineries all within a 10minute drive.

We are offering a beautifully converted barn, in a secluded spot about 150m from our house, at the bottom of the garden. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms. We are happy to welcome a well-behaved dog. We are in the Wealden Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, on the edge of the Ashdown Forest - Winnie the Pooh territory - and within easy travelling distance of Tunbridge Wells, Eastbourne, Glyndebourne, Lewes, Brighton and London.
