In the village there are several good restaurants, bars and lovely terraces. The supermarket is 200 meters away. The center of the cozy cheese town of Alkmaar can easily be reached by bus with 20 minutes. A day in Amsterdam is also a possibility. From the train station (Heiloo or Alkmaar) every half hour a train goes to A'dam.

Het Treinstation is op 10 min loopafstand daardoor ben je binnen 20 minuten in Amsterdam en Zaanse Schans 15 minuten. Het Strand, Volendam en Alkmaar allemaal op korte afstand. Het ontbijt moet u zelf verzorgen maar voor heerlijke broodjes kunt u terecht bij de plaatselijke bakker, deze is op loopafstand. Bij aankomst vind u diverse drankjes in de koelkast. Naast de vele tentjes op de wandelroutes met koffie / broodjes, kan er aan het eind van de dag in het centrum worden genoten van de beste restaurants uit Castricum en omgeving.

Dit sfeervolle en zonnige huisje in Bakkum ligt aan de rand van de duinen en het bos. Op loopafstand bevinden zich diverse eetgelegenheden. In 10 minuten fietsen bereikt u Castricum aan zee met een prachtig strand, vele terrassen, restaurants en watersportmogelijkheden. Bij het huisje staan 2 vouwfietsen. U heeft een eigen opgang met klein tuintje en zitje. Parkeren kan op eigen terrein of parkeerplaats aan de overkant. Slaapvertrek is boven, bereikbaar via steile trap.
