Close by lies the vegetable garden, and friendly cows graze just over the fence. Further out over surrounding farmland you can see Tongariros snow capped mountains in the distance, so sit back and enjoy. Downstairs features a fireplace/tv area & an open plan dining area with stylish furniture & a new kitchen containing quality appliances. Large deck leads straight to the beach within seconds. Rustic firepit for toasting marshmallows. Access to the beach is shared with unit behind. Family bookings preferred. Linen & towels included.

King fisher cottage is a tranquil eco cottage set on the rivers edge of 11 acres of wild farmland and beautifully landscaped gardens that offer total privacy. The cottage has a semi-outdoor bath for bathing while star gazing, a kitchenette, living area & bedroom. There is no wifi & minimal phone reception, the perfect place to get away and unwind an enjoy nature. PLEASE NOTE: June through to September the track is too soft for a car so you need to park in the carpark and walk 40m to cottage.

Walk though to the walk in tile shower, handbasin and toilet- there is also a Laundry in your room.

Then fire up the hot tub bath with ample room for two and enjoy the starlit skies or a movie on the outdoor screen. Toast smores over the fire pit. Walk down for a swim at Stoney Point Beach or take out the kayak. Note: Short 25m uphill hike to the hut.
