Refurbished room, new carpet, curtain, orthopaedic double bed, shower in room, shared toilet, wardrobe, table, water/ tea/coffee/fridge with fresh milk in room, instant porridge, fruit for breakfast, towels, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and bedding supplied, use of kitchen, off road parking for 1 car. training a puppy for hearing dogs , plus older pug, they only go upstairs at night with me. NO late checkin without prior agreement, do not book and then turn up late.
The Annexe at One Kingsley House is in the 16th Century grade II listed annexe which was renovated a few years ago into a self contained studio of 2 bedrooms with one bathroom. The house is in a wonderful setting opposite the church in the centre of the beautiful village of Barnack. Barnack is just 3 miles from the Georgian town of Stamford and less than 2 miles from Burghley House. Kingsley House was formerly the rectory of Barnack and the childhood home of Charles Kingsley the author.
Due to Covid-19 the accommodation is key box only, breakfast is no longer provided and there will be 72 hours between guests. A former barn and carpenters workshop over 200 years old, built in the local Barnack sandstone with a pan-tile roof. The accommodation is self contained and all on one level with parking directly outside the front door. The kitchenette has a microwave, toaster, kettle and a small George Forman grill.
