In the heart of Roman wall countryside the cottage is fully equipped and very homely, open plan living, kitchen and large bedroom with king size bed all boasting exposed oak trusses. Picture windows to take in the stunning countryside and wildlife from every angle. Bedroom has a en-suite, second toilet in the cloakroom. Raised patio including seating area to gaze across the valley with steps down into small garden. The cottage is surrounded by historic countryside filled with many heritage sites

The Cottage at Linden Farm House

This contemporary luxury cottage sits in 10 acres of private gardens, woodland, lake and even a tennis court. With views to the gardens, the lake and the Pennine fells to the rear this is a peaceful retreat, perfect for relaxing, wildlife watching, walking and cycling. The local Inn serves great food and historic Penrith with restaurants and shopping is a short drive away. A truly amazing location with the lake district nearby. Butterfly Cottage 5*rated, Balcony, stunning views

3rd most wished for property in the UK on Airbnb during 2022! Privately managed with owners near, no corporate letting agency managing. The cottage is comfortable, a multi stove log burner and stunning views. Has it's own Balcony in peaceful area. Secure garden. Doggy guests warmly welcomed. Walks on the doorstep based on the borders of Northumberland, Co.Durham and Cumbria, ideal for a range of jaunts in the region. Butterfly Lodge our converted cart house is also proving a hit. Peaceful cottage, Lake District

Lovely one-bedroom cottage in Cumbria, located in Melmerby within the beautiful Eden Valley and 20 minutes from the Lake District. The property is a barn conversion with oak beams. Perfect for small families, couples, friends, and individuals. A perfect dog friendly home. In the village there is the Shepard’s Inn pub, where you can go for nice meals and drinks, and the award-winning Village Bakery. The local shop you can find close by in Langwathby. The nearest towns are Alston and Penrith.

Best views in Pennines, comfortable cottage

Lovely 18th Century cottage. Family weekend retreat for 40 years. Warm, comfortable, peaceful. On Pennine Way and C2C cycle route. Walker's paradise. WIFI + smart TV with Freeview Access by steep track, unsuitable for wheelchair. 5 minutes to village shop. 4 miles Alston for supermarkets, antiques, wholefood shop, petrol, pharmacy, steam railway. Hadrian's Wall 1 hour, Northern Lakes 60 minutes, Newcastle 90 mins, Manchester 150 mins. The most relaxing place we know.

Rose Lea Cottage Eden Valley & The Lake District

Rose Lea is a fully renovated 18th Century Cottage. The cottage is an idyllic escape nestled in the Eden Valley, the perfect base for exploring the Lake District or the Pennines. A warm and cosy cottage on the edge of the small town of Alston in Cumbria which is high up in the North Pennines countryside. A perfect base for experiencing the beauty of the surrounding countryside, from every direction Alston is approached over a broad, heather clad Pennine Landscape. Alston has a steep cobbled main street with a distinctive market cross, and many stone buildings dating from the 17th century.

Cosy uplands getaway, country walking

Right in the heart of Alston Town in the North Pennines, our cottage is tucked away from the main market square along a cobbled lane. Ideal for walkers and cyclists doing the Coast to Coast route. Quiet village away from all the hustle & bustle of daily life. Great pubs and eating places near by. .

Snope Cottage

The cottage is in a remote and secluded location. On a quiet hill top, next to farmhouse, stunningly situated with spectacular views up the valley. Surrounded by moorland, woods, waterfalls, riverbanks. On the Peninne Way, Alston 7 mile drive or walk and steam train! Sainsburys and Boots (supermarket and pharmacy) 7 miles in Haltwhistle.
