Stay in this traditional 17th Century cottage, listen to the relaxing stream from your bedroom window before you enjoy all the jaw dropping scenery when you step out of the front door. Situated in the heart of the beautiful village of Castleton, right next to the stream and enjoying a superb location near the 6 local pubs and numerous cafes. Your double room, with en-suite shower room, lounge and kitchenette are self contained. Walk out of the door and be on a footpath within minutes.

The hut is set within private grounds in a peaceful setting,on a small holding.The surrounding area is a paradise for walkers, cyclists and for numerous outdoor activities. There are picturesque walks directly from the hut, to mention just a few ,Winn hill, River Derwent, Jacobs Ladder and Ladybower Reservoir. The nearby village of Castleton famous for its blue John Caverns is just a 10 minute drive away.

Food prep area with fridge, microwave, sink, kettle & toaster. Plenty of walks from the doorstep, cycle routes and climbing opportunities. Perfectly located to explore the Peak District. Car strongly recommended. The annexe is attached to our family home, but has its own entrance.

Foolow (originally "la foulowe" - 1284) meaning a hill frequented by birds, is one of the hidden gems of the Peak District. Within easy travel to many Peak District attractions and walks. There are lots of great walks from the doorstep and It's a two minute stroll into the village where you'll find a shop, post office, and several places to eat.
