We had an amazing stay. Beautiful property with trails and great morning jogs… and bark house river access within 10 min max, walk each way (note return is a bit of a trek with the hill but our 4 year old made it so should be reasonable for most people). Our car had a little trouble in some steep spots coming back from the bark house but managed in the end (not 4 wheel drive), so may want to be careful and keep in mind, but I think our tires are due for a change, maybe that had an impact. Ultimately Walking there was a better option for us, and there’s a trail option as well which is easier but a little longer. Alicia let us use their private beach as well which was magical (usage based on their schedule and availability) (also keep in mind some steepish terrain and a walk down). Our house was perfect for our family of 3. Very spacious and comfortable beds. Farm provided seasonal fruit and veggies every day which was amazing. We def plan to come back next year!!

We were at Auburn area for a wedding, so only stayed a couple of nights. We received good instructions and the place was easy to get to. It was a nice quiet neighborhood. It is also conveniently located near lots of restaurants and shopping. John regularly communicated with us and even allowed us to check in a little early. I would definitely stay here again if we are in the area again.

If you have found this place you have lucked out. It is so close to downtown but with stunning views. The suite is perfect for a romantic getaway. Ever thing you need in the kitchenette to cook if you want. Merry even left os fresh local eggs and 1/2 and 1/2. We mostly ate out thought with all of the restaurants to choose from. She is very accommodating and did not mind us coming in late at night. The suite is beautiful and has every amenity for comfort. This was our second stay. Thanks again Merry. Hope to be back soon.

Keisha's place was perfect for our family gathering! The kitchen is well supplied for food preparation and cooking. Refrigerator and appliances were clean and ready to use. Beds were very comfortable, with plenty of space for 7 guests, including 3 children. We especially appreciated the wonderful selection of books, toys, games, and indoor activities for kids. Our grandchildren had so much fun! The ambiance is wonderful, with peaceful local views of trees and greenery through the large windows, and so many house plants. The location is within walking distance of "downtown" Grass Valley and yet it is quiet. Thank you very much; we hope to return the next time our out-of-town family returns for a visit.

Very nice and accommodating host.

We were looking for a peaceful, private and cozy little cabin to relax in. Between the green hills, budding oak trees, large pond habitated by various types of birds, frogs and fish; we instantly knew we found what we were looking for. As for the cabin itself, it’s beautifully appointed. The fireplace made for very cozy evenings, and the bed we wanted to take home with us. (Seriously what kind of mattress is it?). We had everything we needed for the kitchen, bathroom and otherwise. My kiddos were a bit upset with me for not bringing them along so I will be back with them. Thank you so much for a great mini-vacay!

Relaxation at its best!! What a magical place! The view from the deck is magnificent! We had cocktails on the deck every night. So calming listening to the creek below. The space was perfect for two of us. The kitchen is well stocked and whipping up a few meals was so easy. The bed was dreamy and so very comfortable. We visited Nevada City, Grass Vally and a few places in between. We had a wonderful picnic in Penn Valley and later enjoyed the beauty of Lake Wildwood. I would highly recommend this space to anyone looking for a place to relax and unwind after sightseeing and even a tough week at work.

Junge Familie mit Kleinkind waren 5 Tage vor Ort um in Auburn sportlich unterwegs zu sein. Es wirklich ein Traum dort wohnen und entspannen zu dürfen. Die Ruhe in der Natur, mit einem See vor der Tür und einem Basketball Korb hinter dem Haus waren genial. Parkplatz direkt vor der Haustür, eine grossartige Küche, bequeme Betten, haben unseren Aufenthalt perfekt gemacht. Vielen Dank
