What a gem in the Eastern Free State. After a long drive from Potchestroom we were welcomed by our friendly hosts. We stayed in a charming, beautifully restored farmhouse dating back to 1880. The views from the house were incredible with the sun setting over the mountains. What a privilege to light a fire and enjoy a glass of wine in such a serene setting. We will certainly be back. Purple House B&B cottages. All Private Bathrooms!

Absolutely delightful! Johan is a fantastic host. The accommodation is comfortable, the home cooked meals are scrumptious, and the decor is fabulously quirky. We will most certainly be back. The Purple House is unhesitatingly recommended.

This was actually our second stay at Ancilin's place within 9 days. The little log cabin that we stayed in was clean and well appointed and was value for the money. We will definitely stay at Ancilin's place again the next time we are in Bloemfontein. The fact that the guest house is also pet friendly is a great benefit if you have pets.

Cozy Double Room on our tranquil property

Wikus and his son Rudolph were very helpful and friendly. The room is neat and as described, good value, with great water pressure. We stopped on our way from Cape Town to Joburg and it was a good call.

Beautiful place. Loved the little heater. A suggestion : Mount the toilet properly, cause every time you get up it seems loose. Try to invest in a bedside lamp. Lastly : Thanks for suggesting The Longhorn Restaurant to us. Delicious food and excellent service.

My partner and I arrived late around 21:00.Despite the sudden and late booking,we were greeted warmly by our host Tesha and it’s her friendly demeanour that made us feel comfortable. In the morning,our host prepared a lovely breakfast for us.We really enjoyed our stay at Magnificent bed & breakfast even though it was brief visit.

We had a lovely stay at Kittys. We enjoyed the Garden After a Long Drive and really like the Dinner Kitty prepared for us, making two delicious dishes! My children were so happy with the food they asked Kitty tonlosen a Restaurant ;-). Communication was also great, thanks for a wonderful stay!

An amazing experience from start to finish. Wilma is a wonderful lady with a warm smile and big heart. Do not hesitate to book this place for short or longer stays.The house is so beautifully decorated, the garden is lush and filled with flowers, we truly enjoyed every second of our stay. This wasn’t our first visit —we keep coming back! After a long drive from the coast, Bella Monte feels like an absolute oasis. The peaceful, quiet atmosphere and stunning surroundings make it the perfect place to unwind. The buffet breakfast is always the highlight for us—a delightful cherry on top! While getting into town for an evening meal requires a bit of a drive, it’s completely worth it for the serene experience Bella Monte offers. Highly recommended!

My husband and I had a lovely stop over during our road trip. We arrived to a lovely lush garden and the room was spacious and clean. I will definitely return again during my next holiday.

This is the third time we have stayed here on a stopover from Cape Town to Johannesburg. It is always such a treat! A beautiful space, and thoughtful details by the host. Excellent accommodation and Highly recommended!
