Crater Lake House is a large house with an open living and dining space at the centre of which is a cozy fireplace. Enjoy spectacular views of Kyaninga Crater Lake and the Mountains of the Moon. This serene getaway is a 20 minute drive from Fort Portal. The lake is clean and safe to swim in, and you can enjoy beautiful walks along the 4 km rim, and/or explore the Crater. Start a campfire, order a candle-lit dinner, enjoy a massage, embrace the sounds of nature, roll out the yoga mat and take a bite of pineapples, avocados from my garden.

Lake Kerere Cottage

Enjoy this stunning location, with incredible views over Lake Kerere and Kibale National Park, with the Rwenzoris Mountains as your other view. There are 2 full time staff to help with washing dishes and cleaning. The cottage is situated on 27 acres of private land with 800 meters of lawn on the crater lake rim - all to yourself. It is a 45 minute drive to the chimp tracking starting point. It’s a great spot to go for walks, runs, bike rides and swim in the crater lakes.

Our cottage on the edge of the world was built by hand with regional materials. In a village near the town of Fort Portal (30 min), you will find peace, hospitality and a sense of community. A perfect space for volunteers and vacationers who want to support a grassroots organization (even for a longer period of time). The cottage is part of the community organization Kuza Omuto and a local school. So you will experience the real village life of West Uganda .
