Recently renovated to include all the modern features but still keeping its original charm and character. Set in a very peaceful and quiet setting, surrounded by garden and vineyards but still walking distance to wineries, restaurants & cafes and the main street of Auburn. This cottage is perfect for small groups, families & friends looking for a relaxing retreat in the Clare Valley.

The cottage is set on 100 acres of large gum studded valleys. Peaceful and quiet, yet close to wineries and hotel. With 2 queen bedrooms, full kitchen amenities. BRAND NEW 4 PERSON SPA under pergola. Breakfast supplies for the first 2 days of any booking plus cheese,dips and wine . When booking please confirm number of couples and singles for bedding. This is important to set up one or two beds. Nestled in the hamlet of Penwortham in the heart of the Clare Valley this quaint, unique cottage (circa 1896) is set well back from the main road. Magpie Lane Cottage is situated only metres from the Riesling Trail. Drive, cycle, or walk (if you’re keen) to some of the best winery cellar doors and restaurants the beautiful Clare Valley has to offer. Enjoy the abundant birdlife (including Bob, our resident magpie) and watching sunsets from the deck in this peaceful and tranquil setting.

Sweet Briar in the Vines - original stone cottage

Sweet Briar in the Vines is close to The Riesling Bike & Walking trail, Vineyards , Wineries, Clare Town, restaurants and cafes, parks, art galleries . You’ll love my place because of the peaceful surroundings, proximity to the town, the fresh air, the starlit sky, the views, the cosy fireplace, the wineries, the generous breakfast provisions and the fabulous bottle of complimentary O'Dwyer Wine. My place is good for couples, adventurers, business travellers, families and groups.

This cottage is a true gem with many "homely" comforts. It is set in a quiet street with everything you need for a relaxing getaway. Walking distance to Clare's town centre, the beautiful Riesling Trail & various restaurants including, Mr Mick's Cellar Door & Tapas Restaurant, Indii of Clare, Seed Restaurant & Rooftop Bar, Antidote Kitchen & Ragu & Co Italian. Local cafes include 1871, Daily Grind, Zest & Just Julie's. Relax in the reading nook, lounge or outside with a BBQ.
