Cecilia is an awesome host. Her place is the perfect spot to tuck away in Malindi. Beautiful set-up with ample kitchen, adequate number of swimming pools, access to its private beach and lovely gated community set up. I highly recommend this place.

We had a great stay at Sanjarah Cottage, which was just as described. Elizabeth was incredibly helpful with information and suggestions both before and during our stay, and very quick to respond to queries. Alex and the team were fantastic - so helpful and friendly- nothing was too much trouble. Like many previous guests, we thoroughly enjoyed Alex’ delicious fish curry! A lovely peaceful oasis, with the extra benefit of good WiFi ( important for my don and his partner who were both working remotely from the cottage. Thank you all!

This place is cosy and functional, carefully decorated, and you feel instantly at home. The bedrooms are practical, with a lot of space for your things, fans at the ceiling and optional AC. The outside is perfect for relaxing, both the terrace of the house as well as the one attached to the swimming pool. Nora and Arnold are lovely and made our stay even easier. Hamish is extremely responsive, helpful and very proactive in providing tips and useful suggestions. The house is not on the beach but at walkable distance, and in case, all necessary contacts of trusted transports and other services are provided...we used them for the whole stay, making all movements much faster and the overall experience even more enjoyable. Definitely recommended!

Magnifique séjour à Watamu, la villa est au calme dans un lieu très privé. c'est un peu loin de la plage pour s'y rendre à pied avec des enfants mais on peut facilement prendre un Tuktuk... Le personnel est très discret et toujours prêt à aider ou a conseiller. La piscine est très agréable, les équipements fonctionnels, les chiens sont adorables. Nous avons vraiment aimé rester ici.

This place is definitely worth your time looking at. I thought I’d miss being right at the beach, but honestly, we looked forward to coming ‘home’ to Joseph and David and the calm, quiet, cool of Ruby House. We spent time reading, playing games, reconnecting and resting, as well as swimming and bobbing in the creek - listening and watching birds. It is so peaceful - chatting with fishermen, and just taking in the surroundings. We went for a few day trips- the Gede ruins are well worth an hour of your time, sand dunes north of malindi were great. And we LOVED Garoda Beach - much less seaweed and less busy. I could not speak more highly of the staff - they were present but not, flexible, understanding and really wanted to help make your time enjoyable. The rooms were so comfortable. I think it may be a little hot in the very hot month, but it gets a lovely breeze and there is always the one room to escape into for an afternoon nap if necessary - but we didn’t need to do this. Everyday my mum swam in the pool and said 'I'm in heaven'. That's almost all you have to know! The house is beautiful, the staff incredibly kind and helpful, the surrounding by the lake very quiet and with a nice open view, yet close from the main road and walkable to Pili pan. We loved it.
