The Hen House

The wonderfully remodeled home based on 55 acres overlooking mature trees and a large pond. The house has 3 bedrooms and 1 1/2 baths. Laundry is available to use as well. Kitchen is fully stocked for your cooking enjoyment and a gas grill is offered as well to use. This house is perfect for families, small groups, or business trips. Situated just 20 minutes from Des Moines airport, and 25 minutes from downtown Des Moines, you will be able to experience the quiet and beautiful scenery to enjoy.

Private *Fall Oasis* Waterfront Tiny House & Sauna

The true definition of rest & relaxation, this unique tiny house is situated on a three-acre pond suitable for catch and release fishing, kayaking, or stand up paddle boarding. Bring your gear and leave your worries behind. Built with special touches and details including stained glass windows and intricate woodwork, this tiny home boasts warmth throughout. Wake up to bird songs and coffee with the sunrise. After a day of fun, take a soak in the wood-burning sauna and relax by the campfire.

Located 1 block from the National Balloon Museum, 6 blocks from Simpson College and close to Golf course, Bike trails , Walmart and Hy Vee. This space features private entry, a comfortable king bed/large bedroom and an extra single bed plus a 2nd single mattress option available on request. Mulberry Cottage Farm-Stay

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway as you enjoy your favorite beverage while rocking on the front porch. Our sunsets are stellar and you will enjoy a pond view and hear the sounds of cattle in the pasture. For a rustic, glamping experience build a fire in the fire pit and have a hot dog roast with s’mores. Your quaint cottage will have farm fresh eggs, sour dough bread and mulberry preserves for breakfast. Enjoy birdwatching, fishing at the pond or help with the farm chores.

Charming Bungalow in a Perfect Location !

This 1910 PET FRIENDLY bungalow is a charmer! Remodeled just a few years ago so everything is clean, fresh and in working order. Great location! Only a few blocks to the town square for eats and shopping! If you enjoy unique art then you will love this house. This house is especially great for a summer visit with the front porch, back patio and lots of beautiful flowers. One dog only allowed 45 lbs and under with a $50 pet fee. Please let me know in advance if you are bringing your dog.

The home has been thoughtfully designed to exude the warmth + charm that Victoria, my late mother-in-law, herself radiated. You'll find a basket to collect eggs from the coop each day, vases to fill with flowers you harvest from the gardens (seasonally), and fresh ground coffee ready to be brewed each morning. Come take a sabbatical and enjoy the slow pace + beauty of the country.

Historic Lustron Home near Indianola Square

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Walking distance to restaurants, brewery, and bars on Indianola's historic square, and Simpson College. Enjoy the quiet patio and private backyard under a shade tree. All kitchen necessities are available to make your stay worry free. (Lustron homes are prefabricated enameled steel homes built post WWII and ended production in 1950. Very few are still in existence that are in near original condition, like this home.)

Peaceful Waterfront Cabin Minutes from City

Enjoy our relaxing cabin on an 8-acre shared pond just a couple of miles outside of the city. Highway access to a secluded spot in this 266-acre property. The cabin is “off the grid”. There is a waterfront deck, firepits, tree swing, dock, and many other ways to enjoy the peaceful scenery. A generator will be supplied for a “not so off grid” experience if preferred. UTV rentals are an option when available ($250/day) if you want to explore the property and have some fun.
