The space features a double bed, tea and coffee-making facilities and a porch with fire pit. The bathroom is a short walk away and is shared with other guests from the second pod. Feel free to kick back outside and enjoy a BBQ with friends. The house is situated a 5 minute drive from the bustling town of Franz Josef which features many eateries.

Gone Fishing

You'll have a great time at this comfortable place to stay. In our fully functional 3 bedroom home. You are literally a stones throw away from the beach that has one of NZs best sunsets. If bush walks are your thing , we have some easy but delightful walks from half hour upto 3 hour walks. Okarito has guided Kiwi tours, hire Kayaks or go on the world famous guided boat tour. Okarito offers great sea fishing or fresh water fishing. The top story is the private dwelling of the owner.

The Tower, Okarito

The Tower is a comfortable two storey, seperate building with an upstairs bedroom with ensuite bathroom. It has excellent views of the sea and the Southern Alps. A warm, cosy and quiet space with a private garden. Free Wifi (system fully upgraded August 2021) Downstairs is the living room / kitchenette area. Upstairs and downstairs are connected by external stairs (see photos). Awesome outdoor bath - great for stargazing (new Aug 22). There are balconies on three sides of the tower.
