Located right on the main road, this is an ideal stopover as you travel through South Westland, or a peaceful base to unwind. Easy walking distance to the local shop, and access to a native bush walk across the road. A warm and comfortable home where you’re invited to relax and enjoy the simple pleasures. Gone Fishing

You'll have a great time at this comfortable place to stay. In our fully functional 3 bedroom home. You are literally a stones throw away from the beach that has one of NZs best sunsets. If bush walks are your thing , we have some easy but delightful walks from half hour upto 3 hour walks. Okarito has guided Kiwi tours, hire Kayaks or go on the world famous guided boat tour. Okarito offers great sea fishing or fresh water fishing. The top story is the private dwelling of the owner.

Okarito Cottage - Tigh Na Mara

Beautiful, small but comfortable cottage close to the Tasman sea, native bush and Ōkārito Lagoon. Open plan kitchen/living area with well equipped kitchen and a very efficient wood burning fire. Short stairs leading down to bathroom and bedroom. Queen bedroom with french doors leading out onto private deck area. Amazing views of the southern alps from different points in and around the house. This is a unique space with a homely feel by the sea in a friendly and welcoming community.

With recent renovations and ongoing upgrades to our charming two storey home we are located within walking distance to Fox Glacier's town center. Boasting four spacious bedrooms, mountain and farmland views. Perfect for families and groups with expansive open plan kitchen living and dining space for spending quality time. The building is steeped in history, currently living its second life as the first floor once stood as a working woolshed on a near by farm in the mid 1900's.

There is a walking/MTB track 200m walk from our house.

A three bedroom house. The living area is upstairs to make the most of the views of the Okarito Lagoon, Beach and Mountains. The main bedroom is upstairs with great views. Downstairs is a bedroom, bathroom and then a few steps down brings you into a converted garage that is the third bedroom, complete with a dart board. There is space for people to hang out downstairs playing darts, or you can sit and admire the views from the living area upstairs.
