Mt Nimrod Pods: Off-the-grid + hot tub

The Mt Nimrod Pod campsite overlooks native bush and iconic NZ farmland, with views to the mountains. Sink into a steaming wood-fired hot tub under an abundance of stars. Toast marshmallows over the crackling fire. Wake to the morning chorus of birdsong. Stop - relax - revive! The campsite has 3 pod cabins (bedroom, lounge and half bath). The pods are insulated and double glazed. The campsite is complete with outdoor kitchen, wood-fired river fed hot tub and a fire pit for up to two guests.

Our open plan Portacottage provides a comfortable and relaxing stay. As well as the basics to make you feel more than at home, we are also able to cater for your most loved pet providing they can sleep outside. We also have paddocks to accommodate horses. (Summer months only) There is lots to see and do, Ollie the horse loves carrots, the cats may come and visit, calves need patting and at times we have sheep and lambs to play with. We offer breakfast when stays are for a minimum of two nights.

The Little Red School House Bed & Breakfast

Get back to nature and enjoy the peace and quiet of our country getaway in the historic "Little Red School House", just 30 minutes inland from Oamaru. Our B & B is located on our 940 hectare family farm which we run sheep and beef cattle on. The farm is situated over 400m above sea level so has panoramic country views. Unwind in the outdoor bathtub (gas heated). The 3 alpaca & pet sheep are your friendly neighbours. 4pm Farm Tour for additional fee. The country location is the perfect place to relax, star gaze, enjoy the scenery, birdsong & farm sounds. It’s a great base to explore Oamaru & the Waitaki area.
