Todd’s place was awesome. We spent almost two weeks here on our honey moon and it far exceeded our expectations. Not only did the pictures not do the house justice we got to see two eruptions from the volcano during our stay, which we probably wouldn’t have been able if we weren’t so close. Todd was also super responsive and kind during our stay. We enjoyed the few chats we got to have while we were there.

Tree Fern Escape had everything we needed to enjoy our time exploring Volcanoes Nat'l Park. The kitchen had all of the dishes and gadgets. There are plenty of linens and the tropical garden surroundings are lovely and help you feel very secluded. We had a lovely stay!

Very well maintained place. Vicki was really accommodating of our late check out which allowed us some more time to rest following a late arrival. Loved the location - right next to National Park which allowed us to come and go whenever we felt.

Home was clean and hosts were very helpful and kind. Driveway is a little difficult to find the first time since it’s a bit hidden by foliage, but it’s very peaceful and quiet. The tile floors are cold, so bring warm socks! Overall a wonderful place to stay.

Das Cottage in Vulcano mitten im Dschungel ist stylisch, gemütlich, liebevoll hergerichtet und hat uns super gefallen, man muss nur darauf gefasst sein, es ist insgesamt relativ einfach im Hinblick auf comfort, und leicht feucht und kühl. Es gibt aber Kamin und vor allem elektrische zusatzheizgeräte, meine Rettung. Wir haben es insgesamt geliebt und uns super wohl gefühlt, kommen gerne wieder.

We are so happy that we chose Volcano Hidden Cottage for our home while we explored Volcanoes National Park! The cottage is gorgeous, and the setting is idyllic- completely private and quiet. The only sounds we heard were from the wildlife, who lulled us to sleep each night. We enjoyed spending time out on the large deck, surrounded by lush greenery. The cottage is very comfortable, and we slept so well! We feel lucky to have been able to stay at such a wonderful place that is just minutes from the park entrance. Thank you, Brenda!

One of the best places I’ve stayed in the Volcano area. I travel up here a lot, coming every time Kilauea erupts as a professional photographer. Kris and Robin’s place was beautiful, thoughtfully designed and the amenities were excellent. The cabin has large glass windows that look out to the lush tropical forest. Much attention and effort has gone into maintaining the native forest species, like Hawaiian ferns and old growth O’hia, while removing the invasive ones. Something I highly appreciate. The wood burning stove was a nice feature that warmed the cabin and provided the perfect ambiance after spending all day/night chasing lava at the volcano. The kitchen appliances were nice too. The complimentary local coffee was excellent and English muffins with strawberry jam were a nice touch too. Overall this is my favoeite place I’ve stayed so far. I will certainly return and let my traveling photog friends in Hawai’i know.

If you love the outdoors and nature in a private setting, this is for you!! We enjoyed the sound of the tree frogs at night and the beautiful flora during the day. House was cozy and bright. Beds were very comfortable. Mitch was very communicative and responsive, great host!
