Bush getaway in the Bega Valley

The Australian Bracken Fern (Pteridium esculentum), an edible bush food endemic to Australia and New Zealand, lends Bracken Cottage its name. Bracken Cottage is a two-bedroom mud-brick cottage on Rock Lily's 100-acre bush block. Views are to the north and NW over the eucalypt forest that covers most of the property. It is suitable for a family or group wanting a base for rural adventure or a spot to gather and escape the city on a sustainably-managed property and has a dog-friendly fenced yard.

For the hot days there is an air cooler ( no Aircon), it always cools down at night. No heater inside but it is never too cold in winter. Firewood provided. Cooking on bbq outside! 😊

Change pace; enjoy a drive along 3.5 kms. of well maintained unsealed road. Watch out for Lyrebirds, and other native fauna. Provided is a breakfast basket, with sourdough bread, honey, homemade mueseli, and granola, local milk and yoghurt.
