Sitting on the banks of the Sabinal River just outside the quaint town of Utopia, Popie’s Place is a great spot for your next hill country adventure! This unique home sits up high on stilts giving you a great view of the huge bald cypress trees that line the river. Each bedroom has a full and single bed. Bottom floor has one bedroom with a queen bed, living space with a pull out couch & spacious dining and kitchen area.

We keep it stocked with the basics: linens, towels, paper products, and basic cooking supplies. The park camping fee is included in the nightly price. you will have to pay park entrance fee.

Offering a stylish bunkhouse on the beautiful Sabinal River. It is close to the Frio River, Garner State Park and Lost Maples State Park.. Surrounded by the famous Twisted Sisters. Watch deer roam the property, enjoy swimming in the river (direct access) or the property pool which is shared with our family and one other cabin. We live right next door on the property (the Bunkhouse is a guesthouse) and will be available to assist you the best we can.
