Farm Creek Guesthouse

Surrounded by ancient rainforest & birdsong in a picturesque valley, our guesthouse is a very peaceful stay. The guesthouse is located on 12 acres of land that is managed biodynamically, and there is a beautiful creek that meanders through the property. The house looks out on the Tararua ranges and is in close proximity to the Remutakas and Kaitoke Regional park, there are plenty of hikes and bike trails within the area and the home is located an easy 40 minute drive to the capital Wellington.

The strawbale studio.

The self contained studio is located behind the main house on a private two hectare section. It’s an open plan strawbale construction with a double bedroom hidden behind sliding wooden shuttered doors. The studio was designed for passive solar heating, with a concrete floor and large double glazed windows in the living space. There are blinds in the bathroom and bedroom, but the living space does not contain any window furnishings as this would defeat the purpose of the passive solar concept.

Open plan full kitchen, dining room and lounge with everything you would need to cook a meal. Separate bedroom with a new queen bed. If required a single bed can be added to the lounge to provide extra guest. Bathroom with new shower, toilet and vanity. Washing machine and dryer in the bathroom and a clothes line. Off street parking for two cars. Pet friendly.

Tiny House Train-Eco stay

Thank you for renting the train as this really helps me. The train runs on solar power, all your water is spring water and is a great example of up cycling and recycling. The tiny house train is located on a 10 acre/4.2 hectare organic blueberry farm and was restored in 2018 and turned into a tiny house in May 2019. There is a cozy log burner plus electric heater and the TV is a smart TV and has Netflix supplied . Wifi is Starlink with laptop friendly kitchen table. Self checkin after 2pm.
