Trailside! The Owl’s Nest at Mt Emily Rec Area

Although it is near a well-used parking area for Mt Emily Rec Area, it was still peaceful and we enjoyed a pleasant chat and book reading on the porch, saw a doe with two yearlings and a female turkey. The home is simply goregous inside and out with a fabulous, well-marked kitchen, an ADA shower in one bathroom, luxury accomodations, a great find for a retreat, a BBQ party, a family stay, or even a winter vacation. It is near enough to LaGrande for dinner out, catch a movie, or a visit to Hot Lake. The windows are plentiful and the entire home is designed for glamping. We were impressed with the cleanliness, the details, and the setting. We were four older ladies enjoying a bible retreat and had a great weekend. We will return and suggested it for our men's group. Nearby was an archery shoot so there are possibilities of recreation. The drive to took us past horses and colts. It was fun.

We truly felt at home during our stay at Tom’s place. My girls absolutely loved spending time with the animals, and we really appreciated the fresh chicken eggs. It was a peaceful and memorable experience. We’re already looking forward to coming back next year!

The Cedar House.

It was a last minute decision to stay in La Grande after a week long river trip and windy 3 hour shuttle drive. Jessica confirmed the stay within minutes of our request. The house was great for our crew. The hot water lasted thru all the showers. The kitchen was well equipped.

Heidi and her Mountain Home were the perfect combination for a weekend retreat. She gave us recreation and dining ideas that we used and totally enjoyed. She was responsive tomorrow questions and her home is lovely and peaceful. We look forward to staying there again sometime soon.

This house was a great Airbnb stay for our family. Extremely clean and lovely space to be in. Bright and cheerful decor, Comfortable beds, Lots of extra amenities. Clear and simple check in/check out process. Sarah was very responsive and flexible. We will definitely return for a stay here when visiting our EOU student! This was a beyond perfect place for us to stay during a basketball tournament. Easy walk to convention center, rodeo grounds, downtown, everywhere. The house is super charming, very queen and the beds were extremely comfortable. There are too many nice touches to list, but especially the coffee. I would stay here again in heart beat.

If your coming to Milton Freewater or the surrounding areas this is the most homey and charming house to rent and you wont be disappointed. Mariel has really gone above and beyond as a host to make sure we were all taken care of while being rehomed for the Holidays. This place felt like home and it was also so unique in its own ways. The decor is so beautiful, the beds feel heavenly, a nice deep bathtub for a relaxing bath, a bar to entertain, and the wood stove was also such a perfect touch for a cold night. Mariel really has all of the bases covered in this place for a comfortable stay, the only recommendation would be a stove however they do have a large convection oven and other cooking options that we were able to make it work out. There also is an abundance of wild life that comes around from large bunny rabbits that graze in the yard, wild turkeys strolling by, a rooster in the distance and lots of birds, squirrels, and geese that were a joy to sit and watch from the patio.

It was perfect for what we needed and would stay again in a heartbeat. We stayed upstairs in the king bed with en suite, but there was 2 other bedrooms with perfect beds, tvs, etc so there is a lot of people that could comfortably stay there. They allowed pets which was awesome and had a nice fenced back yard. Kitchen was spacious and could cook very comfortably.
