Karoo & Ko Unit 1: Historic 1800’s Cottage

*NB: Self check-in, no pets* The Historic 1800’s Cottage - This cottage dates back to 1861. It can accommodate up to 5 persons making it perfect for traveling families. It consists of a kitchen with a gas stove, microwave, full size fridge and coffee & tea facilities. A lounge area with a daybed, a main bedroom with a king and single bed, a second bedroom with two three quarter beds and a bathroom with a shower. It also has a private street facing patio with a braai in the enclosed front garden.

Mooiplaas Farm Accommodation

In between picturesque koppies you will find this thatch-roof house overlooking the Free State plains. Wide open spaces with hiking, mountain-biking, trail running and stargazing to your heart's content on this beautiful 3rd generation sheep farm. Ideal for people wanting to escape busy city life or post Corona small apartments. There is no grid-supplied electricity on the farm but gas stove, gas geyser, gas fridge and oil lamps are available to help you reconnect to the peace and quiet.

Welcome to this family semi open plan spacious unit. This is a well equipped unit with cloud 9 mattresses for a comfortable nights rest. This unit has 1 double bed and 2 single beds. There is air-conditioning in the unit for the summer heat. There is a glass door splitting the single beds from the double, but keep in mind it is a see trough door(Please see in pictures.) On premises parking is available for vehicles, but not suitable for big trailers or caravans, please see pictures .

Puzzles Accommodation -UNIT 1

Hosting the largest dam in the country, the town makes for an interesting halfway stop between Johannesburg and Cape Town / Port Elizabeth. Puzzles is situated on the edge of the “koppie” and is focused primarily on the overnight traveller. Each unit contains two 3-quarter beds, and a good quality double sleeper couch. Guests have their own entrance. Each unit has an en-suite bathroom with a separate bath and shower. Locked parking is provided behind palisade gates.

Bird’s Haven Guesthouse - Charming Country Cottage

The Charming Country Cottage at Bird's Haven Guesthouse is ideal for a family of up to 6 guests. WiFi avalable in room. Netflix decoder available in room, just login with your details and you are good to go. It is a stand alone unit with 2 rooms and 1 bathroom in the garden of the main house. Country fresh air and a peaceful environment makes it the perfect place to unwind after a long journey. A relaxing walk on a tree covered sand road leads up to the Bethulie dam. Your companions on your walk will be dassies, horses, cows and any manner of wildlife. Morning and night owls, fish eagles, woodpeckers, sunbird and many other birds fill the air with their songs. Just come and your internal batteries will be recharged.

The Aloes guest house

The Aloes Guest House offers spacious comfortable accommodation in a fully furnished self-catering unit. The unit comprises of 1 bedroom and can accommodate 4 guests at a time. The Aloes is set on a koppie, overlooking the historical town of Bethulie offering a beautiful view of the Hennie Steyn bridge and the Lake Gariep . For peace and mind the property has good security with electric fencing and ample under roof parking.
