Sustainability is key to our way of life. We grow vegetables and keep chickens for their eggs. We burn locally grown wood and our water is heated by the sun. Our water supply is from a spring and reputed to be blessed by St Columba. Our electricity is generated by a renewables sources and distributed by Eigg Electric. There are stunning views in all directions - over the Atlantic to the Isle of Rum, behind to dramatic basalt cliffs plus scenic beaches and waterfalls situated close by.

Loch Shiel Luxury Pod

Loch Shiel Luxury Pod is based in the heart of a small crofting community in the West Highlands, less than a 10 minute drive from local amenities in Acharacle. The pod looks out directly on to Loch Shiel, with stunning views of Beinn Resipol, and on clear nights makes the perfect spot for stargazing. The Cottage is off the beaten track but within a traditional farming hamlet with access via a forestry track ( see illustrated map ). Many outdoor and indoor activities are available within the area but the peace and quiet at Dunans are unique.
