Sandy Creek Nature Center
Our family enjoys walking the trails and playing in the woods. It’s a great low maintenance adventure!
Learn about all the reptiles, birds, turtles, snakes and other animals exploring around outside! A super fun and educational center to visit
A favorite of our family’s! The Nature Center is a wonderful (and free!) indoor option for kids and the trails and greenway provide nice slots to walk, run, or bike. (Use caution when on greenway when alone or at night.).
This is an interesting nature center for both kids and adults. A hiking and bike trail exists that connects the Nature Center to Sandy Creek Park.
“Great place for sitting outside and enjoying nature. When the weather is nice, many people bring picnics and blankets and simply hang out in some of the open sunny spaces that the garden offers. There are also several miles of hiking/running trails, some of which runs along the river. There is also a newly opened children’s garden, which is quite impressive.”
“Take in a show, and don't forget to check out the views and food from the rooftop!”
“I love this museum. Great galleries, lovely monthly events and solid local artwork.”
“There's a family of bears loving in this zoo...in the middle of Five Points neighborhood. ”
