Avoid going at night because only a handful of hawkers will be open. A fair number of them open in the morning, but they are busiest during weekday lunches.

A hawker center filled with great food at prices that don't hurt the wallet at all! Be there early to avoid disappointments where most shops close early after lunchtime.
