Alas! It is only open on Sunday. I hear it is like being in Thailand- and just as crowded.

Wat Mongkolratanaram, or as people call it "Berkeley Thai Temple," is a local house of worship situated in the more quiet part of South Berkeley. This place is famous for its Sunday lunch, in which buddhists at the temple prepare and serve lunch to residents. It is a really unique eating experience. On Sundays food stalls pop up at the back of the temple and after feasting you can feel good knowing proceeds go to support the temple & community.

The Sunday Thai temple brunch is a must for your itinerary if you are here on a Sunday. Get in line early, bring cash to buy tokens, and taste some of the best Thai dishes in the Bay Area. Gets crowded later in the day.

Amazing Thai food for breakfast and lunch on Sundays. Sit outside on the grass while eating your mango and sticky rice, with all of the best of humanity.
