The Roman bridge in Cangas de Onis is one of the most important monuments in Asturias. The Victoria Cross hangs below the bridge, it symbolises Pelayo's victory over Arab forces, thus starting the Spanish reconquest. Access is free, and you have magnificent views of the river. A must visit if you come to Asturias.

El Puente Romano de Cangas de Onís es una construcción situada sobre el río Sella a su paso por Cangas de Onís.

Uno de los símbolos más característicos de Asturias. El puente Romano se encuentra muy cerca de nuestro alojamiento, incluso se podría ir caminando de la casa por una senda peatonal que discurre entre Arriondas y Cangas de Onís.
