Clarens is well-known for local artists, art galleries, restaurants, hiking, wildlife, adventures sports and activities. We have a panoramic view of the Valley and the mountains of Golden Gate and Lesotho.

Apple Orchard Cottage

A bright, fully furnished studio cottage in a quiet, upmarket suburb halfway between Johannesburg and Durban. Central to exploring the treasures of the northern Drakensberg and NE Free State. Ideal for overnight stops; as an adventure base for the outdoor enthusiast; and for the academic seeking a quiet space for producing important works. Die Koeistalle

Tucked away on the edge of Rosendal, Die Koeistalle is a lovingly restored guesthouse as old as the town itself. The open-plan living area, once a working cowshed when Rosendal was still a farm, is one of the oldest surviving buildings in town. As Rosendal came to being, the old shed was transformed into a brickworks, supplying bricks to the first houses in Rosendal. Today, its stone walls and timber beams stand beside newer additions, creating a seamless blend of heritage and comfort.

Nestled in the town of Winterton just below the Central Drakensberg is this lovely solar powered self catering flat. King size bed, single bed, kitchen, Wi-Fi, Netflix and undercover parking. Bathroom has a shower. A short drive away from a variety of sites, hikes and activities in the Berg. Coffee shops and restaurants within a few minutes drive. Ideal for 3 adults OR 2 adults and 2 kids. Please note: there is a private pool, for hosts only, that isn't fenced off.

Rose Garden Manor House B+B Sitting in the shade of a 150 year old Elm tree with a view of Platberg Mountain and sleeping in one of Harrismith’s historical landmarks is a treat. Harrismith is the gem of the Free State, the gateway to the Drakensberg. The Rose Garden manor house was built in 1895 and is owned and run by David and Gill Weaver who have maintained the tradition of a classic B+B so you get to experience life with a South African family.

THE ZULU HUT - A UNIQUE AFRICAN EXPERIENCE

Situated in a safe, crime-free area, with tar roads all the way, is the Zulu Hut. It has traditional Zulu decor. Lying in bed you have an amazing view of the beautiful Drakensberg mountains. Lots to see and do in the area. The little rock pool is ideal for cooling off. On the same property is INKUNZI CAVE and DIDDLY SQUAT, which are listed separately.

Have fun with the whole family at this stylish, spacious home. Enjoy the spectacular views of the drakensberg mountain range from the comfort of the couch with a warm fire. The house has a great braai facility and lawn area for the family to be entertained. It's pet friendly as well.
