Conveniently located a short stroll from town you will find a supermarket, cafes, pool and pubs. Just 30 minutes drive to Falls Creek, next door to Big Hill Bike Park and close to the river.

The Stables - Farm at Freeburgh on Ovens River

With direct, private access to the Great Valley Trail and the Ovens River, The Stables provides luxurious bespoke accommodation and complimentary mountain bikes for your stay. Located on 10 acres, The Stables is an outbuilding to the family home, along with our farm stay, The Barn. Within 10 minutes to the tourist town of Bright, and in close proximity to Falls Creek and Mt Hotham, only a short 45 minute drive away for hiking & skiing. Horse stays are also an option, with trail riding close by!

Cycling, Golf and walking tracks, Mount Buffalo and its historic chalet are all nearby. With a adequate equipped kitchen and a BBQ on your own veranda where you can eat and enjoy the view. Little Bogong offers a comfortable and private hide-away for one or two couples seeking peace and solitude. Enjoy spectacular outlook to Victoria’s high mountains. The set-up includes a brand new second bathroom and laundry off the main downstairs living area to accompany the quality queen-sized sofa bed. Set on two hectares of steep landscaped grounds, the unique site will take your breath away with its native plantings, visiting kangaroos, native birds, and private outdoor dining space.

Avalon House: The Mine Managers

The Mine Managers Suite at Avalon House has some of the original timber wall panelling dating back to 1889 giving it old word charm whilst upgraded modern amenities make it a warm and comfortable private apartment for two. This was the residence of Thomas Davey who managed the Harrietville Gold Company till the great depression in the 20’s. With a private pet friendly courtyard, it is in the centre of town walking distance to Cafes, Parks, Rivers, Pubs and all Harrietville has to offer.

Little Farm Accommodation

We are nestled in the foothills of the Victorian Alps,close to Bright. There is a crystal clear stream suitable for trout fishing nearby. Our little farm consists of cattle, chickens, two dogs, chestnuts and blueberries and bountiful Australia wildlife. The cottage(bedsit) is self contained and private, with one double and two single beds plus a very large shady garden with a BBQ and Gazebo. Pets are welcome. We very much welcome international travelers to this beautiful area.

The Murray to Mountains Rail Trail is right on our doorstep and we are also directly behind the Bright golf course- so pack your clubs! From Green Gables, it is an easy walk, ride or drive into the township of Bright with its boutique shops and eateries, regular festivals and of course beautiful European style landscape all nestled in the foothills of the Victorian Alps.
