Wow!! What a fantastic adventure it was. Our 3 kids were in tears leaving (12, 11 and 9). The friendships made with the other kids will have a lifetime impact on my kids. Special mention to 12 year old Mo, who we wish we could bring home with us!! What a treasure he and the other kids in the village are. Our kids even spent a day at the school. Pa is nothing other than a true gentleman, who is a true master of his domain on this island and the life he leads there. Think of it has having a 24hr personal guide. You will never get that in a resort! The location of the island is nothing other than spectacular. The house is beautiful. It’s set back from the beach and it’s a small trek, but it’s in a beautiful little lush space surrounded with Pa’s family. To get the most out of this adventure, you need to immerse yourself into the family and the island life. Don’t sit back like you’re in a resort. We will definitely be going back.

Lyn and Sete's place is amazing! The hosts are the most genuine, warm and kind hearted people i ever had the pleasure to meet! Their hospitality is top notch and they made me feel so welcome and at home. It felt like visiting good friends! I really enjoyed our many talks sitting out on the verandah and learnt a lot about what life is like in Fiji. Communication before arrival was excellent and Lyn informed me about everything I needed to know, from pick up to activities and the place itself. Everything was as described and better! The meals were delicious. This homestay is a true gem surrounded by magnificent, lush scenery and comes with it's own private beach! It's a nature lover's paradise and the best choice for someone who would like to detach and leave all the technology behind, enjoy the sound of the waves and many birds, explore the lush jungle or go snorkeling from the beautiful beach! Lyn & Sete are true super hosts! Thank you both for having me and hope to see you soon!

We had a magical 8 night stay for our honeymoon. Lomani is a very special place - peaceful, private and romantic. Knox as a great host and we loved the lovo and kava on our last night. We enjoyed snorkelling, sea kayaking and hiking in the surrounding areas. The cottage is rustic, but very comfortable. We visited in the low season, so food options were a bit more limited and guests should prepare for some creative self-catering using local supplies!

We had lovely time over the Christmas holiday. The view was amazing and it was super quiet. We kayaked out to one of the islands and the snorkeling there was pretty amazing. Helene organized a ride from the airport, which was very close and could've been easily walked to/from. The villa seemed to be recently renovated, had everything we needed and I think when the pool is finished being built it will add a nice touch. It was unfortunate that the solar power was out on the main house which affected the Wi-Fi, but otherwise it's Fiji! Renting a car in my opinion is recommended as it was a bit of a walk to the cafe with the good coffee, but there are plenty of resorts nearby to eat at. Shout out to Ajay who picked us up from the airport and gave us a tour to the waterfalls at Bouma and to Civa pearl farm tour. He also let us rent his car for a few days so we could get around. An absolutely amazing experience staying at Sere Ni Ika. The location is perfect and the house itself has everything you need. The housekeeper, Loata, and her family were beautiful hosts and looked after our every need during our stay (including cleaning the house, changing the beds, doing our laundry). Loata cooked some lovely Fijian meals for us and helped to organise unique experiences for us (like cooking a traditional lovo!). Would definitely recommend staying at Sere Ni ika - we will be returning for sure!

We had a great time at Ucuilagi. The property is surrounded by beautiful gardens and the view is unbeatable. There’s a great little beach down the path from where you can snorkel. The house has plenty of space and is nicely laid out for a big group. The small pool is a nice addition. The manager and his wife kindly organised excursions for us and were there to help and looked well after us. It’s got what is needed without being luxurious. For example we were there in summer with very hot weather and the fans weren’t enough to keep us cool. The quality of the mattresses in some bedrooms was not good enough. These were however minor details and we loved the property.
